Any one going over there? I was for a while a then made the mistake of getting into a semi-flame war with someone. They couldn't take it and pulled my posting privlages.
I guess they are a little more sensitive in CA than we are here in TX.

Personally, I don't go over there because the posters are less intelligent than the ones on this board. But fair warning....flame wars here get squashed. This is a board for basketball, not insults.

nevermind...I just read what you wrote. I would think that you would get yanked here for that too. Just an observation.

I was reading that one of them wants to lock up Cuban and Bobby Jackson in a room together to see who would come out alive. Do they not realize that Cuban used to be a bouncer for fun?

No 1 is the least bit scared of Mark C, especially Bobby J.

I have spent the past 2 weeks over there and I seem to get thrown into every flame comment regarding Dallas. I love it. They have 7-8 great NBA posters over there, but you do have to take the idiotic KT fans to find them.

I personally don't think their board is one bit different than any board - here or anywhere else.
Sometimes boards get dominated by specific posters. Mavs-talk, for example, has a tough time of it because it's dominated by a few "teenager-type" posters. But I think it's unwise to generalize about the audience, most of which don't post. The LMF board has some very bright, well-written commentary... and it's the McDonald's of message board software.
I have at different times posted to 5 different Dallas Mavericks boards (including bskball.com) and 3 Sacramento boards. I don't use smack and I don't predict games. I have yet to have any problem. I stick mainly to game analysis, and I show them the same respect to people I'd like to be shown.
Talking smack can be entertaining, but it almost always escalates into something nasty. Sarcasm and smack-talk are very hard qualities to try and communicate in emails and posts to boards, especially to strangers.

No doubt about this....it's why emoticons were invented. But even that doesn't get it across well.
I have posted in Kings talk but haven't had problems yet because the posters there I saw were well informed and remained on the basketball course. I think the posters here however are for the most part more intelligent and better reasoned.
