Dal/Miami/Memphis
Miami
Sends Damon Jones (SNT - MLE or a little above), and Eddie Jones to Memphis.
Memphis
Sends Jason Williams to Miami
Sends Lorenzen Wright, and James Posey to Dallas
Dallas
Sends Finley to Miami
Sends DJ or PPod to Memphis
Why would they do this?
Miami -- upgrade talent -- trying to win it all with Shaq here and now. Fin's outside touch and JWill's passing ability would work wonderfully. SVG is Fin's old coach.
Memphis - get a proven SG in Jones and get the young replacement PG in Damon Jones
Dallas - absolute coupe for Fin and get a backup C and another long SF.
Any thoughts?

RE:Dal/Miami/Memphis
Of all the backup centers out there, I don't think any of them are more appealing than Lorenzen Wright. I've been trying to figure out a way to get him here since the beginning of last season. Posey would be a nice addition as well. Love the deal.

Fin is a much better 3pt shooter, and they are losing both DJones, and EJones. JWill won't make up for the loss, and Posey gives them ?? So how is that a better deal?
Fin with Wade and Shaq could be deadly. If they want to win now, and aren't too worried about the money.. then JWill/Fin is much better than JWill/Posey, IMO.

RE: Dal/Miami/Memphis
If i was Pat Riley, i will not take a 51 mill contract when i just gave shaq 100 mill for 5 years.

RE: Dal/Miami/Memphis
Riley just promised Shaq 100M and that he would put together a team to win it all. Fin helps that chance dramatically, especially since with Shaq in the paint, he wouldn't have to take it to the paint often. Fin in Miami would be deadly with Shaq/Wade both demanding double teams.
Now money........that could be the deterent.......
