My husband and I were just discussing this at the store the other day. We both love grape. Don't get lemon-lime though. It isn't very good. We just starting doing the Atkins diet and I am making Kool-Aid with Splenda. No calories and very tasty! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I have always wondered why they call cherry candy cherry. It doesn't even come close to tasting like cherry. Neither does banana, but I think all banana candy is NASTY. Grape doesn't taste like grape, but I like the interpretation. Strawberry KINDA tastes likes Strawberries. I think the only one they get right is Chocolate. it's been years since my last kool-aid experience, but i think i liked cherry back in the day. i actually don't remember my mom getting any flavors besides plain ol' cherry.

I just started drinking it recently since I am doing Atkins and I can't have Coke. Plain water is just too boring for me. I highly recommend making the Koolaid with Splenda for those that are watching calories. It is much more enticing than plain, boring water.

Cookies, if you make it with regular sugar, I think it has more per serving (or at least the same) as Coke which is around 100 per cup. The Splenda doesn't taste exactly like sugar but it is pretty close. My husband likes and he is very, very picky. The only problem with Splenda is that is pretty expensive. Oh well. i wouldn't describe it as like cordial - it's not like syrup at all.

ever had the Sweet Tarts that are like a tablet (flavored sugar, basically)?. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] imagine grinding up a hundred of them and putting them in water.

in elementary school, the boys used to snort Koolaid - sometimes they even put nerds in it which is even more preposterous. then they started "turning it up" - throwing their head back and trying to pour it straight past their throat... of course, only the "tough" ones could do it without loosing their breakfast... Veruca, I don't know what cordial is. Koolaid comes in little packets. You pour the packet into a pitcher with a cup of sugar and 2 quarts of water and then you have a sugary fruity tasting drink to give to kids so they can be extremely hyper and void of any sort of nutrition. You have to love America! Give kids tons of sugar so they can grow up to be obese and other countries can talk about how fat and lazy Americans are. Greatness.
