IRVING, Texas -- Terrell Owens has a message for Jessica Simpson: Stay away.

Simpson has become Public Enemy No. 1 among Dallas Cowboys fans because of a link being made between her appearance at Sunday's game and the poor performance of her new boyfriend, quarterback Tony Romo.

Never date any Simpsons. You'll end up with either 1) a ditz, 2) a wannabe lip-syncer, or 3) a cartoon =/

So typical...

There are two other common denominators that are WAY more relevant..like Romo AND the Eagles..

I believe its mostly a running joke, with just a tiny thread of sincerity.

Simpson was at the Jet and Packer games as well.....so what tiny bit of sincerity is there is misplaced.

IRVING, Texas - He hasn't talked to the media all week. He cancelled his conference call with the Carolina media.
He was seen wearing a waxed glove on his right hand inside of a plastic bag for treatment during Wednesday's open locker room period.
But when it became time to throw the football at practice, Tony Romo apparently had little problems doing so with that bruised right thumb.
Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said he was surprised how well Romo threw the ball on Wednesday and said he expects his starting quarterback to play Saturday night against the Panthers.
"Tony Romo practiced today - ended up practicing the whole practice," Phillips said. "I thought we might hold him out some. He seemed to get better and better as the practice went along as far as his thumb and throwing the football. He threw the ball downfield, so it looks like he's going to play to me.
"I thought maybe we would hold him out of some of the things if he couldn't throw all the passes, but he threw long passes, he threw outs, he threw comebacks, he threw short passes."
Romo suffered the right thumb injury in the second half of last Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Eagles. Since then, we've seen him with a protective cast around his hand in the post-game press conference and watched him stand around in Monday's walk-through with his hands in his pockets while other quarterbacks and even coaches tossed the ball around to the receivers in passing drills.
But head coach Wade Phillips said Wednesday he believes Romo's thumb is continually improving, aside from some expected soreness.
"He's still a little bit sore, basically on the follow-through with his thumb, to grip the ball," Phillips said. "That was hurting him a little bit, but not a whole lot, and he seemed pretty accurate as far as throwing the football."
And right now, getting his right thumb ready to play appears to be Romo's only legitimate problem this week.
Much already has been made of Terrell Owens' comments on Wednesday regarding singer/actress Jessica Simpson, who has been linked to Romo these days. It appeared Owens was simply joking when he said "Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite in the locker room" or that "she was hot on my list until last week."
With a big smile, Owens did say he had "a message for her" when the Cowboys made the playoffs.
Fox cameras showed Simpson wearing a pink and white No. 9 Romo jersey inside a Texas Stadium suite at last Sunday's game against the Eagles, in which the Pro Bowl quarterback arguably had his worst game of the season.
However, Simpson reportedly has been in attendance for two other recent home games, when Romo and the Cowboys scored a combined 61 points in wins over the Jets and Packers.
While it's highly unlikely Simpson would have an effect on Romo's performance this week, his right thumb might be a different story.
Owens said he wasn't fully aware Sunday of Romo's injury, which appeared to occur early in the third quarter. However, Owens said it became noticeable once he watched the game film.
"As I saw the film and then the one ball slipped out of his hand," Owens said. "When I saw the highlights, I figured that was going on. Obviously, with him being a quarterback, you need that thumb to grip and position to make a release."
Owens said he can understand Romo's competitiveness and desire to play through an injury. But he said he hoped the quarterback will make the right decision, especially if he's not close to 100 percent.
"I'd rather him be smart than not," Owens said of Romo. "He has to look at the big picture. Yeah these games are important, but at the same time, be smart and realize that the guys in this locker room . . . I feel like we can go into this locker room with Brad (Johnson) and win. If it takes him to sit out a week and rest that thing, I would really encourage that. Obviously, our goal is to get to the Super Bowl. He has to think about that."
But although the quarterback position has been somewhat in flux the last few years here in Dallas, the Cowboys haven't had many quarterbacks miss starts because of injuries.
The last occurred in 2004 when Vinny Testaverde was held out on a short week for the Thanksgiving Day game against the Bears. The Cowboys started Drew Henson, but he was ineffective, forcing Testaverde into the game for the second half of a Cowboys' comeback win.
Ironically, Testaverde is currently with the Panthers, but has been injured as well. Rookie Matt Moore, who spent training camp and preseason with the Cowboys, will face his former team in just his second career start after leading Carolina to an upset win over the Seahawks last week.
The last time a Cowboys starting quarterback missed the entire game because of injury was back in 2001, when the Cowboys had four different starting quarterbacks - Quincy Carter, Anthony Wright, Clint Stoerner and Ryan Leaf - sit out.
But with Romo in the fold, the Cowboys certainly have more stability at the position these days.
And playing at Carolina likely holds special meaning to Romo, who got his first career start there last year after the Cowboys benched Drew Bledsoe.
Romo's 270 passing yards were good enough for the Cowboys to claim a 35-14 win over the Panthers that night. Romo won four of his next five starts, helped the Cowboys get into the playoffs and earned a Pro Bowl spot. He's now a two-time Pro Bowler after being named to the NFC squad again this week.
Romo might not have looked like one last week when he threw three interceptions and had a 22.2 quarterback rating against the Eagles.
But he should get the chance to bounce back this Saturday at Carolina. And based on Wednesday's encouraging practice, it doesn't appear his right thumb will be standing in his way.

for Mary
The outspoken Dallas Cowboys wide receiver said Wednesday that he was kidding when he said Simpson was a distraction to Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and said he has apologized to Romo, the Dallas Morning News reported. He added that he also hopes to speak to Simpson."I tried to get [Romo] to call her so I can explain to her that she doesn't really know me and that I can be funny," Owens said, according to the newspaper. "And that everything I say, the media will take it and run with it. It's not a big deal. I will try to rectify the situation between her and I."
Owens made the comments at a Dallas Mavericks home game on Wednesday night, hours after he suggested Simpson's presence was affecting Romo's focus. The entertainer was seen sitting in the front row of a suite at Texas Stadium during the Cowboys' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, a game in which Romo threw three interceptions and no touchdowns.
"Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite in this locker room or in Texas Stadium," Owens said before practice. "I think with everything that has happened, and obviously the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel like she's kind of taken his focus away."
Later Wednesday, Owens struck a different tone.
"No, I'm not trying to be a distraction," he said, according to the report. "I understand how everybody is looking at Jessica Simpson as a distraction and that's definitely not how I saw it. That's how the media saw it. If anybody wants to look at it as a negative, they can do that. But for me, she was there to support Tony.
"He had a bad game. I don't think she had anything to do with it. We lost as a team."
The Morning News reported that Romo, who normally speaks to the media on Wednesdays, was unavailable for comment because he was getting treatment on his bruised right thumb.
Simpson has attended three recent Cowboys games this season, and the Cowboys have won two, with Romo playing well in both victories. He threw for 195 yards, two touchdowns and an interception against the New York Jets, and 309 yards, four touchdowns and an interception against the Packers.
Dallas and Green Bay, both 12-2, are battling for home field advantage in the NFC playoffs.
not all men are pigs =p
