GDT Game 10: Mavs (1-8) at Pelicans (3-5) 7:30pm CST FSSW
It bill be interesting to see how the minutes are distributed for our bigs tonight.
DSJ plays more minutes and has his best game of the season.
Barnes puts up 33 pts
NN double double
Salah and Cousins get ejected.
Pelicans have been playing well but Mavs get the W tonight.
Mavs 101
Pelicans 96
GOOOO MAVS

Boogie and AD are going to flay our front line alive, not really any other way to put it. However, they have basically no wings and their guards aren't that great. If our guards can outplay theirs then we have a chance. I wouldn't bet on it though as I am anticipating the aforementioned obliteration at the hands of their bigs to overcome their weaknesses everywhere else. So my money is on us ending the night at 1-9. I think our next win will be Minnesota, with their terrible defense giving our guys the chance to catch fire from 3 and steal a win.

This is a perfect game for Smith to shine.

We basically don't have wings either but I do agree with the rest of what you say.

J'Rue Holiday is one of the better defensive PGs in the NBA.

Worst starts with only 1 win
1981-82: 1-13
1992-93: 1-15
1993-94: 1-23 (2-39 for worst start ever)
1998-99: 1-8 (worst in Dirk era... until now? at least matched)

I think there is a good chance that the Mavericks win tonight. If they lose they still win in my humble opinion.

I'm wondering if we will lose boards by 10 or 20 or... can you lose by more than 20? I have faith this team could find a way at some point this year.

Every time the Mavs lose, I say a little "prayer" similar to Arya Stark's kill list...
Michael Porter Jr.
DeAndre Ayton
Luka Doncic
Mohamed Bamba
Valar morghulis.

Losing by more than 20? Impossible! I bet I've seen it happen though. Mavericks have had their rebounding woes.

Dennis needs to learn how to handle bigs on a switch. Feels like he's getting blocked every time. He also missed a wide open NN on the very first pick and roll possession.

It can be a brutal show at times, but not as brutal as watching the 2017-18 Mavericks.

My god this team is bad. Very hard to tell the difference between bad and purposefully tanking. They're both.

41-17. Thunder beat the '14 Nets in rebounding.

Jesus, Powell is the softest player in the league.
And my god, why are the guards so afraid to shoot?

Powell is the hardest working most talentless player in the league. Such a phenom.

I've never seen an athletic big get dunk position and try soft layups more often than Powell ever.
