Good to see him making the best of the opportunity so far.
A little concerning that he is scoring at the rim on Wood though.

Why? Wood isn't a rim defender. That's why we got McGee.

I know Wood isn't a good rim defender, but I just don't see McGee giving us a whole lot of minutes. Wood will most likely see a lot of action at center, and we'll need at least some interior defensive presence. Maybe McGee gets more minutes than I'm assuming but considering he hasn't been a starting caliber center most of his career, and he is 34 yo, makes me wonder how much time he'll actually play.
I thought Wood was supposedly improving defensively but if a 6'4" G-League caliber guard is scoring at the rim on him, that can't be a good sign for improving our interior defense.
IDK...I'm just not convinced our frontcourt situation has been fully addressed.
Still think Wood makes Powell completely expendable.
Wouldn't mind making some deal surrounding Powell/Green for Clarkson/Azubuike.

We're really getting ahead of ourselves with the Hardy scoring on Wood a couple of times in practice...Lets not exaggerate a practice.

Yea. Pretty much has to be said every single season.

If you aren't convinced our front court situation is fully addressed, wait until you take a deep dive into our front court ans backup guard situation.

They didnt fully address either.
Front court partially, backcourt not at all.
I'd just like to see some legit size insurance at center. That can be had for the min.
We need solid backup at pg which will most like require giving up some assets.

They did address the front court, and did really well too.

Wood is as good as big men get on offense. He's just never going to be the defender that people want.

See what the Mavs did there?
In fact, the entire roster is basically 50/50 just like that. We don't really have many two-way players.

McGee saw 15 a night in Phx a year ago, I expect him to average the same. That leaves nearly 80 minutes at the 4/5 spots for Wood and Kleber to split up. Even though Wood doesn't start.....he will get plenty of court time.
