I'd be interested to know what Carlisle would think. He has some pretty deep roots with that nutcase.

Honestly, we have had quite a lot of "Carlisle-guys" over the last two years and none have really worked out. Artest is done and even nobody can rejuvenate him. And giving up Trix to get him is just...........

I don't think Sike is talking about Artest being a "Carlisle guy" - he's referencing the Malice in the Palace, which is a good reason to stay away from that nutcase.

It was not a reccomendation, just an idea. Trix kind of asked to be traded when he didn't renegotiate. High dollar expirings are asserts.. I suspect that Cuban and Nelson are trying to leverage that asset.

It has been reported that the FO doesn't want to part with Trix for Bynum, so they definitely won't throw him in to get Artest.

Bynum is a free agent. Where would parting with Trix apply to him?

Ben Wallace started that entire thing, that fan tossing that drink in his face is what sent him over that top...I'm not making a excuse for Artest but Ben Wallace played a HUGE part in that.

They need more cap-space to outbid the Cavs.

Let's make this Team Reunion.
Artest reuniting with Jermaine O'Neal, Stephen Jackson and Carlisle.
Bynum and Artest, bring Barea to the party too since Minny wants to ship him.
Harris reuniting with Dirk.
That team may not win anything, but boy do they have a lot of stories to tell each other during garbage time.

Right, and then Artest single-handedly destroyed Indiana's season and ruined a legit chance to compete for a championship

Howard, Bynum, Artest.....how desperate is this team.
Not one dude from that championship team carried the character flaws of the guys we're discussing these days.
Is Artest part of Plan M or N? I'm losing track.

A new name for a guy who really hasn't been a star in 9 years and a starter in 1.

I think Ben overreacted to the foul that Ron gave him

Yeah, Wallace gave a hard foul on one end, Artest returned the favor on the other end, and Wallace lost his shit and encouraged the fans to throw stuff at Artest as he laid on the announcers' table.
