I have never known Barry Bonds to be humble about anything. He is giving props to Hammerin' Hank Aaron in this article about his chances of oertaking the all time homerun lead. Personally, I think Barry will do it, but I think he is just being a little modest for Hanks sake here.

have you guys seen that commercial with bonds taking BP, and he hears this voice keep saying (i'm paraphrasing), "give it up barry... retire... the home run record isn't important" (a voice like in field of dreams)
and then bonds turns to the press box and says, "c'mon, hank. stop it." and the camera cuts to hank aaron in the press box. he was the one saying all the stuff. hilarious. anyway, i forgot what the commercial is for.

BBL- great commercial. One of the best in a while. It shows Barry's mature side. He is getting better with age...like most of us.
