Because JJ reddick wins us a championship...

Mark just trying to get a few favorable spots on his podcast.

It’s a 5 team race in the West and still 2 team race in the east (despite Chicago’s moves). Count this as year 1 wasted for Luka as a top 10 player (not counting last year’s ascendency).

yeah I'm not understanding this move at all especially since you had younger options out there available with more size as shooters.

The fact that Boston gave up only 2 round picks for Fournier is absurd and to think Reddick is better than Fournier is even more silly.

But hey some people will justify this move to the end knowing damn well there were better options out there then Reddick

Then you fcator into account that he will share the floor with Brunson and THJ often and I cringe at that lineup defensively.

Do you know that Donnie didn’t have the same offer on the table for Fournier? Maybe we did and Orlando decided to trade him to Boston. Do we know what we gave up for Reddick?

i think Boston's trade exception made it so that Orlando didn't have to take back salary. That's a clear win for them and probably was what led them to deal with Boston. Let's stop raging about Evan friggin Fournier.

Yup. Hayward trade exception made this deal possible.

Agree!!!!. Not sure we will get to waste more than 2 years of his time.

Honestly curious: what do you get out of constantly bringing negative opinions about the Mavs?

You are allowed to have interests you are positive about.

I love the Mavs. Love that they made the trade to get Luka. He will be the best player in the NBA over the next 10 years and I hope all 10 are with the Mavs. I fear that the inability for the front office to build anything, even incrementally is going to cut his stay short. Let's be honest, the only reason the Mavs are a little better this year and might finish 6th or 7th is because Luka continues to improve and is actually statistically the best defender on the Mavs in addition to a top 3 offensive guy in the league. He got better and the Mavs team around him have not. What will change next year? We likely will add zilch in the draft, and it appears there are no big name top tier talent to be landed in the off season. If KP doesn't truly become a top 20 player in league, then the Luka era will end poorly. I would also say if the Mavs are one and done in the playoffs this season and don't progress next season then by definition Rick is not the solution. So sorry about perceived negativity but I think my position is more warranted because of the failure to add any meaningful talent around Luka in his 3rd year than the Pollyannaish view that the Mavs are somehow smarter than the NBA.

I feel where you're coming from as a fan and I have the same concerns...
