Default Trapped in the Closet

Is that not the greatest bit of satire in the world?

I think it must be, because I can't tell if it's the greatest satire, the worst music, or the worst satire.

Man, that R. Kelly is a genius. The real thing was even funnier than the MadTV bit about it.

I haven't been able to figure it out myself. Anytime I see it on vh1 though I can't look away. It's like a train wreck. You have to watch but you really don't want to because it's a little scary and creepy. He actually does have a good voice and sings with passion, but that does not a hit make.

Yea I love the whole series. R. Kelly is easily one of the greatest songwriters of my time. I hear he has another set coming out on dvd. I like how he toned it down a bit in the latter chapters. Sort of inserted more humor to it because this thing started out pretty deep. I think either the song or the video got nominated for a Grammy.

R. Kelly's "hip hop soap opera" (that's what they called it on vh1). if you haven't seen it or heard it, don't worry. you aren't really missing out. I'm not denying the guy's obvious talent. I just don't get the ongoing saga of a dude who cheats on his wife and she cheets on him and the wife's lover is a cop and someone shoots the wife's brother then the neighbor lady comes to the door with a spatula or somesuch (um, but I've never watched it... ).

oh yes! how could I forget?! can you imagine if George Strait or Tim McGraw tried to do something like this? They would be laughed out of the industry!

A midget named "Big Dude" who was sleeping with Bridgette, yeah - Bridgette rhymes with midget, the wife of the cop that was sleeping with R.Kelly's wife (the cop who pulled him over after he was cheating on her, when he heard a man answer his own phone, so raced home to confront her. She told him it was just her brother who was coming home. He said "oh, yeah, your brother." She said "yeah, my brother." he said, "oh, yeah, your brother." And they started having sex. Then he pulled back the cover, "Oh, no a rubber!" - dramatic pause.). "Big Dude" is also going to be the cops wife's baby's daddy. But don't forget the the pastor and his gay lover.

It's great when R.Kelly sings Bridgette's part, he puts on this goofy white trash accent. Even the accent is so bad I can't tell if it's supposed to be bad. Genius.

I broke up with cable 9 months ago - now I roll with PBS, FOX, and the big 3.

So does VH1 ever show videos or are they all reality TV now?
