Chandler/Peja Trade Damp/Stack/Carroll?
Anyone else interested in this?
Josh can play the 2, Peja at 3. Josh can play 3 when terry or kidd play the 2. New Orleans gets to dump 2 highest salaries and gets expiring contracts except for Carroll, but he doesn't make much:
Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Dallas and New Orleans being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Dallas and New Orleans had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I dont see that as a pipe dream. The only reason I do not see the Hornets partaking in this is because we are a division rival. It has been made known for awhile now that they want out of both the Chandler and Peja contracts. Ive heard talk like.. "whoever wants Chandler would HAVE to take on Peja as well".

Gortat is just a playoff fluke that will get overpaid. I do not have faith that he will be anyone of significance in the years to come. I go with the proven guy over the potential, especially when it comes to centers.

Chandler isn't proven and is injury prone and with peja the defense is again suspect against penetration no thanks

stackhouse and carroll had zero contribution last year, so peja with zero defense still gives you 13 points a game. thats 13 more than 0. chandler played 45 games last year but the 4 years before last, he played almost every game. he scores, rebounds and blocks more than dampier. dampier plain old sucks and stack/carroll don't play.

Not awful for sure, but not at the top of the list either.

Trying to imagine a scenario in which Dallas would be willing to have 15 million on the books for Peja in 2010/2011. This ain't it.

I used to think that josh could play the 2, but now I don't think he has enough smarts to do it. Jkiddo/Josh/Peja/Dirk/Center...
There isn't an intelligent playmaker in the bunch. You can't trust josh to PNR, that's for sure.

Surely Chandler and Paja are better than Damp/Stack/Carrol but I think that salary cap would be so expensive! Chandler earns 17 million and Peja 12...NO, I think that we could acquire better players in exchange for Damp (whose contract is not totally guaranteed so it is a huge expiring contract) and Stack with his 7 million expiring contract!
We could trade Damp and Stack to that Team that want to cut its payroll in 2010

IMO Peja is like a serious upgrade of Stack and Carrol. Chandler of Damp as well. So,
No. We like our team.
