Don't worry Dude... just like Mo Ager... once his rookie contract is up... he's gone from the NBA.

Yup...I would be interested in knowing just how hard he worked on his shot. Was he incredibly driven or just working 9-5? He had almost three years and it's not like he didn't know what he needed to do.

I just can't stand to see someone playing limits summer league, bringing the ball up and jacking shots insults the rest of the team.

And that is what Cuban has been telling Dirk:

"Why do you need a Robin when I got you a Cardinal?"

I doubt Jones will be out of the L regardless of his future on the mavs. He has much more going for him than ager -- decent handles, sees the floor pretty well, can finish inside, passes well. I also think he is more athletically gifted than ager.

Guys who can't shoot don't stay in the league long.

Specially on a Mavs roster if your name isnt Marion.

Wouldnt be surprised if he ends up in a trade package this summer, together with the pick.

Deron/Kidd
West/Roddy

That backcourt would be sweet next season, even without Terry,

This is especially true if they can't do anything else either -- i.e. defend, dribble, or pass. Not saying Jones' situation is anything like kidd, but kidd is one example of a player that couldn't shoot when he initially came into the league but still had longevity. Perhaps, Jones can make for himself a quis-like career or maybe he ends up learning how to shoot the three. Either way, I doubt no one will take flyer on him once his rookie contract is up.

I don't think so, can't shoot and can't finish.

He can pass the ball and handle the ball well though, and I think can really defend, I think he can be a decent backup PG.
