Default remember when dirk shot 3's?

isnt he more than likely the teams best 3 point shooter?

have the mavs pounded the big man point to him just enough to finally make him stop?

josh shoots more now (hes a waste of space, and good for 20 opponents rebounds per game.

oh well, i guess they are the experts.

He doesn't shoot that many anymore, and when he does, he doesn't do it like he used to. He doesn't arc them as high anymore, and he sets his feet and does a slow crouch (a'la Kidd), whereas before he would perform a somewhat instant quick jump and shoot his arms high, arcing a beautiful rainbow

Forget the 3 pointers, remember when Dirk would shoot the ball?

I was honestly thinking this exact same thing throughout the game and also as I looked at the box score (where the Mavs were 3/19 from 3PT).

Really, I don't know which Dirk is better, the low post Dirk or the perimeter player Dirk.

But we all know the low post Dirk isn't going to do this:

Corner 3. Because of Dirk, we have a Mavs Money Ball.

I'm thinking about making a thread that goes..

Will we ever get another game winning 3 from Dirk?

I really do think he needs to shoot more of them, for no other reason than the fact that it fires up the crowd at the AAC.

NOTHING gets that crowd rocking like a Dirk 3-pointer.

Given this team, rather have the perimeter Dirk spotting up, saves him from the banging, use him like Ray Allen, run him off screens and in position to either shoot or have a clear lane to drive, tougher to defend a moving target than a stationary one.

Actually when Dirks hair is short he avg 28ppg while his team sucks on defense. And when its long he avg 24ppg and the team doesn't suck.

our center is a crap in offense, Dirk has to do whatever our center is required to do yet not able to do. the Dampier of past time wasn't as bad as today's dampier, at least he could do something on his duty, but he is simply a crap now. Dampier only played 9min in the game vs. spurs as our starting center, last night he played 5min for our team. Carlisle has shown enough respect for this veteran, now it's time to abandon him or even waive this crap, use the salary space he occupies for some capable guys like moore or horry.

a center is required to draw some attention in the paint, to clear some space for the shooters to throw. except acting like a meat door in Pick-and-Rolls, Dampier is useless at offensive end.

Well we have to start him because I don't think we can start singleton or bass.....

I only like damp's offensive rebounds thats all.

James Singleton seems like a better rebounder already.
