There were 3 children on that helicopter, including Kobe's daughter. One girl's father (a college coach) and mother were also in the crash, leaving her sister an orphan. The other child's mother was in the crash, and the last passenger was one of Gigi's basketball coaches. Just horrible.

To me, that's the hardest part.. the death of the children. I think any parent feels that..

Yeah, this would have been a national story even if Kobe wasn't on the helicopter. Just devastating, especially for the young girl who just lost both of her parents and her sister.
