Default Mavs shouldnt be winning...they should be KILLING!

its great that the mavs win games, but i dont like how theyre winning...its usually by 5 or 8 when a team this talented should be winning by 15-20.

the kings (who in my opinion arent as good and talented as the mavs) win by an average margin of 20, and if they can win by 20 mavs should bt 25.

i still think nellie should start jamison also, his scoring is too valuble to use "later" in a game.

go mavs!

Juwan Howard and T-MAC have both had good games. And they are getting a lot of free throws.

Play as necessary, this game was won on the third quarter, we don't need to try and go for 33 in the 4th just to blow them out by 20. A 13 point win counts as a W, just like a 30 point win and a 1 point win give you a W.

I wouldn't be too worried about this kind of thing until February or March. Right now these new Mavs are still learning to play with each other, and not having Dirk to lean on hurts...

The Kings have been together or a long time though... they really only added Miller to the lineup. So it isn't fair to compare the Mavs to them. Our roster was totally revamped and didn't even have a training camp together and we are still blowing teams out.

This could only make them stronger, EvilMav2.

At least, Mentally.... Once Dirk comes back, this team will take off...

I think you are right MightyToine. Whatever doesn't kill us will make us stronger, and as much as it pains me to see Dirk out of the lineup, I think that Dirk's absence is allowing guys like Josh Howard to step up and that will ultimately make us a better team. That darned Lakers game nothwithstanding, this Mavs squad looks like it is really getting comfortable and starting to come together, and watching Toine, Tawn, Nash, and Howard step up on different nights is making me very happy. Of course we sorely need Dirk to return in order to regain the offensive spacing and defensive rebounding dominance that his presence facilitates (especially this Friday), but I think that in the long term our team will be stronger for having had to deal with the adversity of the last week and a half...

Sacramento has their game down and we dont. period.

Sac-town is a better team right now. We added more talent but they only had to integrated one guy into their system (which had already been tested in the playoffs). Nelson wants a new system for the Mavs to accentuate our talent, so not only are we adding eight new players to the roster, we are moving into a new system which means that the veteran players are learning as well. We are a long way from being done, but when we are done we will be blowing out teams by 30-45

Look at the champions spurs- they just won a championship and they supposedly have one of the best coaches in the league (trained by the best), and the league MVP. One season after they won 60 games and won their title, they are sitting at .500 (10-10) which happens to be the worst in the division and they only have 5 new players only one of which is a rookie.

Spurs
have lost both games v. the Lakers- like us
have lost to Memphis- like us.
have lost to Denver- like us

The only wins they have of any merit are the Jazz, Sixers and the Nets
All their other wins are Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, GS, Miami and New York- a who's who of non-playoff contending teams.

I think we can do a lot worse than we are at 12-7

Offensive Spacing and Defensive rebounding dominance, huh?

I think we've had plenty of good looks at the basket but we just haven't been able to knock down the shots. Dirk will certainly help immensely in THAT department.

As for the Rebounding? We don't really need Dirk for THAT right now with the BEAST FROM THE EAST-ern Conference, Antoine WALKAH!
