Countless people on this forum who joined during his time here as Outletpass were first greeted and welcomed by Bill. He loved his kids, and I don't think that I've seen any father prouder. However, Bill was afflicted with Chronic Depression for most of his life. He battled it valiantly for many years. Ultimately though it claimed his life early April of 2004.
If anyone ever has a family member or friend who appears to be suffering from depression, I would beg you to reach out to them as frequently and with a forgiving attitude. This is a serious illness that can easy result in loss of life. I would give almost anything for the opportunity to call and talk with Bill or visit with him. Don't let the opportunity pass to do so, because you never know when it might be your last.
