Default Chicago Trade that somewhat compensates for Nash

Dallas Trades:

Antoine Walker
Jerry Stackhouse
Eduardo Najera
Tony Delk

Chicago Trades

Antoino Davis
Tyson Chandler
Jamal Crawford
Eddie Robinson

Why Chicago does this:

To make room for their rookies while still getting veteran all stars. They can start Deng at the four, Gordon at the two(backup), and use Duhon as a back up point.

Dallas does this to:

Use Crawford as compensation. If this were to happen, i think our guard rotation will be better this coming season than last season. We would also get rid of both Stack and Walker, while solving our frontcourt crisis. And since we're running out of space on the roster, we could cut Robinson.

Our lineup

Crawford/Harris
Daniels/Howard
Finley/TAW
Dirk/Davis/Fortson
Bradley/Chandler/Pavel

Crawford had previously been something of an afterthought when I thought the Mavs would go forward with Quis and Steve - intriguing player, just didn't really fit the team's needs. He makes more sense now. I'd happily make this trade.

Crawford sure is a shot chucker, though. I wish we could get chandler and Heinrich somehow.

You may actually be on to something here. Rumor is that Cuban has liked Crawford. Maybe he'll pay him...

Hmmmm...a trade that involves two of the players that Chicago claims are untouchable.....

Erica, realistically, they'll have to trade one, probably both, in order to get better. Right now, they really do need a veteran two/three who knows how to win, they would be getting a two and three who have been on playoff teams. So considering the rest of their roster, they might not have any other choice.

Well when your GM says that you will build around one of the players, its probably improbable that the team will trade him. Davis and Robinson are easily traded. Chandler could be had for the right price (which is probably higher than that. Why would they want all spares again?

Davis and Robinson will be impossible to trade due to Davis' salary and age, and Robinson's salary, unless you add one of their better players, which goes back to my original post. I can't see them unloading any of those contracts without giving up a good player.

And as far as spares go, Walker's a career 20/8 player, a career 21ppg player, and a good role player in Najera, and they can either keep Delk or cut him, although they could use him as a backup two guard behind Stack/Gordon.

That's a contending team in the east. None of their "untouchable" players can lead them to the championship.

I'm actually pretty shocked that Walk is still here, though....

I don't want Crawford here. No No NO NO NO.

.386 FG% .317 3P%, shot 521 3s last season. Good for 3rd in the league (HMM reminds me of Walker!)

Hes a 4 year vet, with terrible shot selection. I don't know if hes going to get better. We got Marquis here, hes much better.
