It's not often that history is made. I'm just glad that the Clippers have nothing to play for. And by that, you realize I mean one way or the other.

I know keeping everyone healthy for the playoffs should be priority one but I want to see 61 so badly.

Not if they slip in the first round. I think this is one of the best teams ever assembled in Dallas. I still believe the WC Finals team was better, but this is a darned fine team.

Which one? I don't see how you can make that claim about 02-03.

I don't remember the West being as strong in 03 as it is now....

I don't think he meant they were a better defensive team

get 'er done. i want 61 wins. i think this team is better than the 02-03 team, but theres not as much wide-eyed enthusiasm around it. that was the first time in a LONG time that dallas was near the top of the west, we had a new arena, and we played exciting basketball

The ONLY position we were better at in 02-03 was PG. In intangibles you could argue that we had better leadership.
Other than that, 05-06>>02-03
I believe we now have better role players, deeper bench, stronger Center rotation, and most importantly our troops are more seasoned in winning close games. Especially low-scoring games.

I'm filing this game under the "don't give a crap" category. Winning the most game in franchise history is cool... but I'm convinced enough that this team is a very, very good regular season team one way or another.

I want to see a triple dub from Benga tonight. Also, Powell, please catch an ally-oop for me, please. If PPod plays, I'll go crazy, that would be awesome.

Pavel is still assigned to the D-League. If you see him play tonight, you ARE, in fact, crazy

I figured that was implied with winning close low-scoring games....

Give me 61.
I want us to have unstoppable momenteum. I want our confidence to be more high then Robert Downey Jr. I want universe-sized expectations.
Put all the weight in the world on.
Pressure makes diamonds.
We will answer the call.

Can't wait for the playoffs to start...
That being said - tonight we're going to spank the Clips up and down these hallways.

None to speak of. I had heard they were going to try and give him 15-25 minutes. Then I see him in a suit and they say that he is inactive.

When he goes on a rant about oil in Africa you just have to laugh.

When he said that, I had to laugh at that as well. The way he said it too made it even funnier.

Ha! We just had a D-M poster cameo on the game telecast... Obviously, she doesn't realize it, but Smiles was just shown on on the UPN 21 broadcast as we came back from the commercial break (I'm watching the game on Tivo time delay, so this probably happened about 10 minutes ago in real time)...

put the '02/'03 surrounding cast along-side the '05/'06 Dirk and you're talking about a 70 win team.
I still contend that the '02/'03 was the best team in Mavs history. It's amazing how little respect they still get from Mav fans. They were the best offensive team in NBA history and were surprisingly solid defensively. They were just flat out great. At their peak, I'd put that team up against the best teams in NBA history and like my chances.

Bradley was dominant at times for most of that season. His stats were far superior to anyone on this current team.. and he was the BACKUP center.
But I don't expect you to know what you're talking about.. so I'll stop talking to you. Thanks.

whoa whoa whoa... i loved the 02-03 mavs as much as anybody and probably more but seriously, "best offensive team in nba history"? no way. id put us 2nd best since 2000. when the shots were FALLING, we were unbeatable 95% of the time, but when they werent, we couldnt do anything.
