The Illusionist
Is anyone going to get this movie this week? Ed Norton looks awesome in the previews. Has anyone seen it?

It's a very good movie. I kinda figured it out before it was over, which detracted a bit from it, but it's still a very good movie.

It is a good movie. Doc, I don't know if it is worth paying full price for unless you just love Norton. I would rent it first at Kroger for a $1.

Not a bad idea. We have those dollar a night rental machines at our HEB's.

Excellent. That is exactly what I am talking about. I love it. Also, if you want a great Norton flick besides Primal Fear, check out The Score.

The movie is kinda boring. It's predictable and simple, which is a bad combination, and it pales in comparison to the other magician flick that came out. On top of that, you have to endure another overdose of Ed Norton acting, which just looks a lot like constipation in the Illusionist.

it's kind of sad that this wasn't even the best turn-of-the-century-magician movie of 2006. Illusionist was decent, but the Prestige was REALLY good. i highly recommend watching that one when it comes out on DVD. i'll be buying it.
as for norton, his best movies to me are:
Primal Fear - amazing performance
American History X - Great movie, and norton dunking is one of the funniest scenes in movie history
25th hour - his rant in the mirror in this movie gives me chills

Yes, add fight club to my list, definitely. Not sure why I forgot it. I love that movie. Maybe cause to me, Pitt outshined him in that movie. But it's an amazing movie.

I really dont see why people highly recommend this movie. After 25 min it was really clear whats going to happend in this movie, ok then I waited to see some amazing tricks, but they never came. In the end it was like some average CSI episode.
Edward Norton 3,5/5
Jessica Biel 4/5
Rest (Cast) 3,5/5
Movie story 3/5

you could probably get a candy bar and a 25cent soda for that dollar. And then spend a different dollar on a good movie. You'd still come out ahead.

Wasn't Jessica Biel worth the $1 alone?
