2005-2006 Dallas-Mavs Fantasy Football League
Well, it's just about football time again, so I went ahead and registered a new D-M fantasy football league on Yahoo and I'm hopeful that we can put together a good fantasy group together again this season. Last year's league was pretty darned active, and I while hope that we can get some of the same players from last season to register again (U2 has a title to defend), I'm going to leave this as a 'first come first served' registration, so I'd encourage any of y'all who see this and want to participate to register soon.
Also, if any of y'all have any suggestions pertaining to the rules or scoring of the league (as posted below) or related to the scheduled livedraft time of 1 PM on Sunday, Sept. 18, feel free to post them in this thread or PM me and I'll be happy to consider them...

I forgot I won last year... I blame that on why my Basketball team sucked. Hopefully this year my team will be listless so I can return to my dominating Basketball form of years prior.

RE: 2005-2006 Dallas-Mavs Fantasy Football League
Cool... As of right now we've got 5 spots filled with the following teams participating:
Irving Cowboys (Defending champ U2)
Evil Domination (me)
OrangeEaters (Ninkobei)
Trust Big Bill (Alby)
JThig32 (Starring as himself)
The Ligers
Great Ape Smash
There are still five spots left, so I'd encourage anyone interested in playing to sign up now...
Update: Now The Ligers have joined the fray, so we now have four open spots...
Update #2: And now the Ape has joined, so that leaves three spots...

Excellent! Oz is in the hizzaus... And I guess that means we've now got just two open spots remaining.

It's great to have you on board, Doc and Mavsman. And that wraps up all of our league's spots...

RE: 2005-2006 Dallas-Mavs Fantasy Football League
Whoops... Almost all of the live-draft weekend slots were taken when I registered the league, and I didn't realize that the NFL season started a week before the draft time. I'm going to take a look at the available draft slots right now, and I'll hopefully be able to find a better time that predates the start of the real NFL season. Unfortunately, this will probably mean that the draft will have to take place on a weekday night, but hopefully I can find a day that will work for everyone, and I can certainly change the date again if any team has a real problem making the draft time...

RE: 2005-2006 Dallas-Mavs Fantasy Football League
OK, thankfully I was able to change the live-draft time to a much better slot, and I hope the new time will work for everybody. Our draft is now scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 20 at 2:45 PM central standard time, and if this time causes problems for anyone, I'll do my darndest to try to find a better one (although the available time slots for yahoo drafts are currently running very thin)...

RE: 2005-2006 Dallas-Mavs Fantasy Football League
Hey guys, so Sike could participate, I expanded the league from 10 spots to 12, so we now have one additional spot open. I'm definitely not going to expand the league again, so this last spot will be the last one open for this year's league. So if any non-participating poster happens to read this and wants to participate in this year's D-M league, I'd advise that you grab the last spot now...
The participating teams are now:
- You Mongrel!
- Bosque River Bitches
- The Giraffes
- TheSikedelics
- Great Ape Smash
- The Ligers
- Irving Cowboys
- alby -Trust Big Bill
- JThig32
- Orangeaters
- Evil Domination

RE:2005-2006 Dallas-Mavs Fantasy Football League: Let The Battle Begin
I don't think we're doing individual defensive players Sike. You draft one team's defense. They get pointes based on how many points they give up, how many touchdowns they score, and how many sacks, fumbles and interceptions they force/recover.
