Texas Rangers 2010 Season
no one else has gotten this rolling yet? where's the real baseball fans? (i'm not as big into this as others)
exciting season to see what happens with all the potential... just needs to be unleashed.
Rangers to win the west with 92-70 mark on a down year for the Angels and I think the Mariners just don't have enough besides King Felix/Lee.
it all starts today! anyone know of a way to get a game link?

Rangers losing on opening day? Check
Rangers striking out and making some unknown pitcher look like an ace for a mediocre team? Check
This team will probably hit a lot of home runs but have a lot of games that look like today, the pitching will appear to be solid but later in the year when we all look at finally realize that Scott Feldman and Rich Harden are our two "aces" we'll shut it down for the rest of the year and end around the mid 80s in terms of the W/L column, maybe worse.
This team will need a Mavs like trade mid year to really turn the corner and become a team that everyone can take seriously.

Oh boy, we finally get that home run we're looking for and then our pitching suddenly the bed after keeping the at 3 so we can tie it. Same ol' .
When did Feliz start sucking, hard to keep track of spring training.

Hello Win Column!!!
2 Runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 5-4!!!
Nice start to the season...this team needs to believe in itself, even when things are not going so good, they manage to win...no doubt winning in the bottom of the 9th can seriously boost a teams confidence.
Enjoy the ride folks...this is a special team and long-suffering Ranger fans will get to enjoy a Special Season!!!

Winning is a great feeling but this still seems familiar to me, need to have more consistent bats and not just 1 or 2 guys belting one to bail us out.
Hate to be the one knee jerk guy here but it's not like we're an A+ winning organization like the Yankees or Angels, making the playoffs for us would be like winning the WS.

Great win! Cruz was the player of the game obviously, but Vladdy had a good game too.

Awesome steal of a game. To be no-hit through 6, (a perfect game minus the plunk of Vlad), and come away with a win is pretty nice.
As far as my feelings about the game, I hate seeing Feliz pitching 93 MPH instead of throwing 100 in his new 8th inning role. Bring the heat young man. Cruz was obviously a stud but also give Young some props for getting that first hit in the 9th. That set the tone and put the tying run in scoring position immediately. I hope this new Hamilton doesn't just mean that he strikes out on a 2-2 count instead of an 0-2 count.
OT - We now officially have the Rally Amputee to combat the Rally Monkey. Those of you that watched the game know what I am talking about. For those of you that didn't get to see:
1-0 baby...

No need to mention Salty, of course. He only had the walk off hit.
Great win! We're going 162-0! Mark it down!

So... how does this all seem familiar? The Rangers got solid starting pitching..some timely hitting.
Hey, if that sounds familiar, than so be it. And let's not act like the guy on the mound that the Rangers were facing was a nobody. He's only a nobody if you pay no attention to baseball.

hey, a win is a win. i'm just hoping Harden turns it on at some point this season, whether it be tonight or a month or two months from now. having him pitching well could really lift this team up.

Lets hope Harden shows up this season. I hope his start goes good tonight, and he begins the season with some confidence (and hopefully a healthy arm)

Oh boy, hit a dude, walk a dude, 4-1 toronto lead incoming. Ks don't mean jack if you give up a lot of runs and don't go far into games, rather have a workhorse pitcher than a dude who blows his load early.

Home Run
Triple
Double
Walk
Single
Way to cost us the Fing game Frankie... And nice Rainbow...
CJ deserved better than that. 7 IP, 5 hits, 2 walks, 9 Ks, 0 R!
Feliz was dominating as well - 3 up, 3 Ks...
But Frankie, shit... What a downer!
One more thing, our offense is far, far worse than horrible right now. There are TWO guys playing - TWO. The problem is that they aren't homering every at bat like Toronto's TWO guys are.
I could shoot Wells in the Fing mouth right now. By the way, in case you don't know, he is from Arlington and he is friends with Michael Young........Just in case you hadn't heard.........Because that is a secret........

At least he didn't strike out AGAIN... Way to blow a great win Texas. Nice opening home series loss to the friggin Blue Jays. This ultimately all falls on the offense but Frankie has to close that out.

Well...12 K's in 8 innings, no runs, combined between Ceej and Feliz. Why is this offense so awful? MY needs to pick it up, and we need Kinsler back. Only Vlad and Cruz have more than one hit right now. Check out lone star ball if you want some more depressing stats...like 0-22 with runners in scoring position.

Good to see the bats come around tonight. Vladdy and Cruz have been on fire. Vladdy is just absolutely sick at our ballpark. Hopefully he can take some of that mojo with him when we go on the road.
I'm going to the game tomorrow! We face Felix Hernandez, so that will be tough.

Just in case there are those that are immediately penciling in this game as a loss, Harrison beat Felix last year so the mighty one can fall to Matt's dominance.
Good game by Lewis but I was discouraged to see his line regarding walks vs Ks. Hopefully that trend doesn't continue.
I have been hard on him but it is mainly because I know how good he CAN be. With that said, Hamilton had a couple of productive at bats today. The first was getting the big inning started with a walk and the second was a nice double for an RBI, (his FIRST hit of the year).
Nice to see some other guys get their average up above their weight. If not for the White Sox we would have been the worst hitting team in the league coming into this game so nice to see some of it turn around. In all likelihood tomorrow we will return to the team we saw yesterday as opposed to this version, but here is hoping we can beat the King.
Good win... 2-2.

Omg Cruz! Vlad and Cruz are going to be big, imagine if they're going + Hamilton, Young, and Kinsler. Scary offense if these guys can stay healthy.
