It looks like the Brooklyn Nets are having a bad week. Lol. Jason Kidd is now the Bucks coach, Shaun Livingston is now going to sign with the Warriors, who was a big reason why the Nets turned around their season last year, when Deron Williams was hurt, Livingston came up big. The Nets better do something quick, cause their draft picks are limited, this may be Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce last year in the NBA, Brook Lopez foot injury is still a question mark and Deron Williams is coming off a VERY inconsistent season

Deron Williams is also having ankle surgery in the off-season. Again.

Lopez's foot injury is a repeat too--third time the same place has been injured. Which is a shame too, because he's looking like something like a cross between Sam Bowie and Yao Ming. Both injury-wise, and talent-wise.

Kevin Garnett could barely grind his bones together well enough to get off a jump-shot in the series v. the Heat. His tank looks empty. Minus Kidd? Minus Pierce? Other than the paycheck, there's pretty much no reason for him to show up to games anymore.

Nets are quickly devolving into a vortex of suckitude.

I knew that was going to happen eventually, but I didn't think the fall would be so far so fast with such a high pricetag... Prokhorov is one of the richest people on the planet, but nobody is rich enough to simply ignore flushing $144m down the toilet in one year on one investment.

Screw Billy King. Ivan needs to get over here and run this thing his own self. (Rod Thorn smelled something rotten, I think.) I suspect that Russian ownership of the Nets is an extreme example of Russians stashing assets abroad, much like Russian millionaries/billionaires buying high-end Manhattan real estate.

I forget what he paid to acquire the Nets ($300-350 million, with current valuation of $780 million), but if the Bucks can go for nearly $600 million, and the Clips can go for $2 billion, he should come out okay if he's looking to sell in a few years. But yeah, still...$144MM for a 2nd-round exit is pretty heady.
