Signature Sizes
Anyone else getting a little annoyed by some of the sizes of the signature photos. I really like seeing other folks sigs, but this has gotten out of hand. Some of them with pictures are over half a page long.
Can we encourage a little moderation?

RE: Signature Sizes
I'm with you on this. At home I have a 36.6 connection and I can barely load some pages.

RE: Signature Sizes
I do especially enjoy those like EL's and wish I was more talented and able to generate them myself, but some are just a bit too large.

RE: Signature Sizes
It is really annoying. Remember Turkey and his pictures?
Those were great.

A member - Windmill 360 - does very nice signatures. There is a thread in The Lounge on it.

6-8 - PM me with what you want on it. I am nowhere near as talented as windmill, but I'll give it a shot.

Windmill actually made one for me a couple of days ago, though it certainly is unfortunate he hasn't been posting alot recently.
I would recommend that you send a PM his way, 6-8.

Windmill is amazing! What a feakin' genius! I remember reading a few days ago that his photoshop membership had expired so he may not be able to do anything right now. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to pm him. Very nice guy!

Is my sig size ok? Haven't had the time to photoshop and personalize my own sig. As soon as i do, I'll make a decent sized one.

I dont see anything wrong with it-- kind of a lot of space but the picture element is small and loads quickly without much bandwidth drain from the site. You have my support

I think it's fine too. Mine's a little big, but I like it.

No, Windmill did them for me. He has a whole thread of them here: http://www.dallas-mavs.com/vb/showth...t=23268&page=5
You can pick one out and it will be your own, or you can PM him and get a custom one.

Nope, a lot of them are made by Windmill.

Yeah, that's the reason I'm not getting it.

There is a open-source alternative that is very close to Photoshop(and free, too). I used to use it years ago, but can't remember the name of it for the life of me..... surely someone on this site knows the name.
I stopped using it when the Graphics department brought their CD's to the Tech room for safekeeping. So I am keeping them safe for them, I get to at least "evaluate" the software right? Isn't that somewhere in the agreement?

Yeah, I've heard about something like that but I can't remember the name either. I'll look it up/ask around.

Yep, that's what it is. Gimp shop. I think you have to install some stuff, but it's free.
