Don't think we have ever lost to the Cats. Gotta keep that streak going.
Bobcats are a better team than they have been though. Larry Brown seems to got that team how he wants it, and they play defense. They gave the spurs a little trouble tonight.
Can't sleep on them. But I'm sure the Mavs will be on their toes, no one wants to disappoint the soldiers.

Badfish is correct, we are the ONLY team in the NBA who has never lost to the Bobcats.
The Cats have been great at home, where they are 8-3. Fortunately this is a home game for us. They have a history of giving elite teams fits, especially LA. This year they have beaten: Atlanta, Denver, Cleveland. Pretty impressive resume. Hope we don't take them lightly. Wallace has been a monster (leading the NBA in RPG at the 3 spot, which is baffling). And they have the best D in the NBA.

You can see what LB did in Charlotte with the lastest trades for Diaw and Jax and that he stepped away from Iverson during the summer: Pistons 2.0
They are playing a great defense but have trouble scoring.
Crash is leading the league in rebounding, btw.
Will be a tough one, they are able to give Dirk a hard time with Jax and Diaw, they can crash the boards...

Nah, Jax and Diaw can't remotely guard Dirk.
Diaw is too short and too slow. SJax is just too small. The whole "SJax can guard Dirk" thing is a myth like "Marion can guard Dirk" of the past.
GS mostly doubled Dirk hard in the infamous series. That's why every game since then, Dirk has destroyed SJax in the post (for whatever reason GS never doubled Dirk much after that series).

Lets say not "guard", lets say "annoy". Specially when the refs allow them to stand on his feet and rub their chests against him...
Btw Chandler is pure trash in Charlotte, his last 2 games were amazing:
First Denver: 13min, 1 point, 2 rebound, 4 TO and 5 fouls.
And yesterday: 21min, 4 points, 2 rebounds, 8 TO (wtf) and 4 fouls...

Planning on watching us dominate. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a full rotation tonight...Humphries, Tim Thomas, maybe even a little Roddy.

Btw, does anyone know if Josh is playing? I thought I heard that he might sit this one out since its a back-to-back and he's just coming off surgery. Anything?

Fish says Josh is inactive tonight. He doesn't say, but it sounds like it's just a precaution, not re-injury.

LoL @ Chandler, 7'2 and manages 4 points and 2 rebounds. What a waste of height.

Howard will sit vs. Bobcats
DALLAS -- Mavs swingman Josh Howard will rest Saturday night against the Charlotte Bobcats, a precautionary measure as he comes back from offseason surgery on his left ankle.
The Mavs didn't want Howard to try to play on back-to-back nights yet. He ended up sitting out 13 games after playing a back-to-back during his abbreviated return last month.
"We feel it's the right thing to do, managing the situation," coach Rick Carlisle said. "We don't have another back-to-back until [Dec. 26 and 27]. The hope is he'll be ready then to play a back-to-back, but we'll just have to see."
Some of Howard's minutes should go to Quinton Ross, who has missed the last nine games with lower back tightness.

The Howard situation is just so weird. He is pretty much holding the Mavs hostage. He is a huge factor if they want to go deep in the playoffs. But the Mavs can't rely on him to either play effective for long stretches, or remain healthy enough for long stretches.
And if they trade him, they probably won't get equal value in return... and with his contract, you have the choice of letting him walk for nothing... or re-signing a gy who can't be counted on....

A smart move to rest Howard, I guess. We don't need him to win against the bobcats anyway.
