Mavs have a days rest, Duncan isn't as athletic as KG so he should be an easier cover. We have good perimeter defenders to cover Manu, Parker, and Bowen (at the 3 line). This is a game the Mavs shouldn't be able to win, but one that i think they can win if they are determined enough.

one of two things will happen tonight:
the mavs will be drained, look lethargic at the beginning and have to fight from behind all night or they, playing with a renewed swagger because they stood toe to toe with minny and gave it away at the end, get the jump on the spurs. either way, mavs win. once again, I think Stackhouse is key. He's got to be on tonight.

If they believe in themselves, Mavs have a #1 team, if the bench can beat SA, no doubt, we now have a decent team. If they come out acting like they don't have a chance, ugh. Time to shut up and show whatcha got!

The San Antonio feed that I get through League Pass said that Nowitzki will start. He warmed up and felt good enough and there was a last minute change in the lineups.
I really want to see Dirk play, but I really want him to be healthy later this season and later in his career. |

Everyone gripes about Dirk's defense. I'd love to see Duncan try and stop Dirk. Instead he gets a pass because Pop knows Duncan would foul out trying to stop him.
