Amazing, I didn't think they could do it. And anther thing: UP YOURS FLORENTINO PEREZ.
How do you like it that the TWO players (Sneijder and Robben) you pretty much kicked out of Real Madrid, even though the coach wanted to keep them, as well as the vast majority of fans, scored crucial goals that helped their team advance to the semifinals of the CL?

Good move by Ferguson bringing Gibson, but i fear Gibson and Berb as well are only fatal when Rooney keeps them company. And again the got themselves in trouble.
Michael Carrick is a scrub.

Woooooooooooooooooow. 3-1. I gotta say I was very confident Inter would do well, but not THIS well!
Sneijder once again scored. And some people in Italy regard him as the best player playing Il Calcio this season. I complained and complained and complained when we go rid of him and Robben, but no one was hearing it. Hate to say I told you so. (this is unfair to most fans, who wanted to keep Sneijder/Robben).

I´m quite satisfied with the result, because Internazionale is the right team to lash them Bayerns asses.
Iniesta badly missed today. Barca had no clue, but they have had a really bad journey throughout the european hemisphere.
I hope Inter will wipe their asses with Robbens and Ribery´s jerseys ( in case he is not in abusing minors in Paris´whorehouses ) and drop the used stuff right in front of the Augustiner Brauhaus.

Haha. Fine by me. Hopefully this latest scandal will keep Ribery from joining Real Madrid. The offense is fine, just need some more tuning up. What needs a complete overhaul is DEFENSE.
I haven't seen Bayern lately, but Inter's been playing quite well. Did Maicon get injured though? I think he left the game on a stretcher after scoring. I could be wrong though......

Yes, Maicon slammed into Messi and was carted off. And Balotelli has been attacked by Internazionale Ultras after the match...

I hate Balotelli and I'm not even racist.
Hahah, Thiago Motta said it LAST game "They fall to the ground way too much."
And Victor Valdez with the classlessness to hold up Mourinho who was going to celebrate with the Interistas that made the trip to Camp Nou.... and then officials at Camp Nou BLASTED WATER with a firehose into the stands where the Interistas were. Barcelona doesn't know how to lose.

How many games left? Have we any chance to go straight into UEFA and bypass the playoffs?

Basketball mode: off
Funny, there's a Brazilian in the German national team that made the cut (Cacau).
Also, the German team has been getting decimated with injuries.
Brazil beat Zimbabwe or some other today 3 x 0. Good start!

Only group winners advance? Top two? Or are there some sort of "wild card" type slots?

Top 2 advance to the round of the best/last :-) 16. Tiebreaker - not 100% sure, but must be handled that way - will be total points - goal difference - goals scored; then result of the 2nd/3rd clash.
Let´s say Germany and Australia are 2nd and 3rd and equal on points and goal difference and none of them has scored more goals in total the score of the teams concerned matters. For example. Germany-Australia 2-0 - Germany will advance.
When #2,3 and 4 are equal on points tie-breaking rules are used only on the three teams. Means, when neither of those can advance on goals+ scored etc. the #1 is left out and the rules above are used on the matches between 2,3,4.
Or so.
( no wildcards )

Well, Cacau isnt the typical case "Let me get the passport so i can play for the national team".
He lives since 1999 in germany and he told that he wants to be a german because he feels home in germany and thats the place where he also wanna live his whole life.
Ballacks injury sucks.
Our goalkeeper depth is (as always) incredible sick. Enke suicide, Adler injuried and still Neuer/Wiese/Butt, they could probably play in every team in the worldcup and wont be the weakest spot.
Hell, probably the 10 best german goalkeepers would play for the England team

Btw quick explanation about the best teams for our american friends that just know basketball
Quote:
LA Lakers: Brazil Most star power, most championships, most bandwagon fans, favorites to win again this year. They're coached by a defensive-minded ex-player (Phil Jax and Dunga). Best player a threat to score or pass (Kobe, Kaka).
Cleveland: England Lots of media hype and attention, but ultimately they've won nothing. Their best player scores a lot, but not on the big stage (LeBron/Rooney), but their second and third best routinely disappear in the big tournaments (Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison/Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard)
Orlando: Spain They just won something recently (the Euro Cup/the Eastern Conference) and their roster is fucking loaded, but people keep forgetting about them. Their best player (Dwight Howard/Fernando Torres) can't always perform because of circumstances beyond his control (foul trouble/injury).
Boston: Italy Recent champions, old as hell, lots of internal bickering, tough as heck to knock out in tournaments. They're like cockroaches you can't kill. Defense-first team.
Spurs: Germany Lots of past success, some proud veterans with a history of showing up when it matters most, but ultimately a bit long in the tooth. They play an efficient, mechanical style but have more flair than their critics give them credit for.
Phoenix: Holland They play an attractive style, very offensive with lots of scorers who can shoot from anywhere. Ultimately they always choke in the big games, but maybe this will be their year.
Denver: Portugal One big off-putting bitch of a scorer (Ronaldo/Carmelo), a lot of arrogant, enigmatic knuckleheads. Lots of unrealized potential. Lots of red cards too. Nobody likes them, emotionally immature.
Dallas: Argentina. One sensational player who has a lot of regular season success but a checkered history in big games (Dirk/Messi). A bunch of individual scorers who play with no heart. An idiotic figurehead on the sidelines who insists on being quotable and making himself the center of the story (Maradona/Cuban). No serious analyst gives them a chance to go far.
Milwaukee: USA Nice story, but ultimately they have little chance against the big boys.
Ivory Coast: Portland Ditto.

True. Germany has a problem on the striker-position. With Klose lost his confidence, Cacau is the last "instinct-striker".

Wow, as much as that tie was a result of Green's horrible goalkeeping.... I think the USA deserved it.
