Jeez, I forgot about Van der Vaart. I think it is a given he's gone. He didn't fit in very well. Very good player, but just not a fit.
Kaka is proving he's worth the money with 2 doubles in the last 3 Brazil games.

The game England-Finland just was intercepted by a streaker

I too thought that was a game he would excel in. At least get and convert a couple of fouls near the box.

I should have said he'd get fouled a couple of times anywhere in the attacking half and convert a couple of free kicks near the box (by, hmmm, nudging the ball ever closer to the goal box ;-) )

But that is correct. Well, not completely. This looks like a fantasy team. And yes, I hope we keep Ruud as he is one of my faves too.
I haven't learned about the Villa deal, up until now.
And just for the record, I'm kinda pissed that Real keeps changing Managers each and every time they don't get a succesful season. I kinda liked Schuster and I know he stepped down on his own account. I mean, Schuster, Ramos and Pellegrini since Dec 08? Bummer

It is much easier to change coaches than overturn a whol roster. Well, with Florentino, neither one is that difficult. BTW, a very good, up-to-the-second link about Real Madrid news: http://www.as.com/
It's in spanish, but if anything, you can use google's translator to get the gist of it. Here is an alleged list of players who are available for negotiations, per a fax by Real to english teams. I don't agree with most of it, especially Huntelaar, Van Nistelrooy, Sneijder and Robben. I don't care much about Saviola and Heinze, and to a certain extent Van der Vaart.

Real offered several mn. ( ´bout 25 ) plus Sneijder and Van der Fart to Bayern München for Ribery.

lol, Van Der Fart?
That's too much. I think Sneijder is quite valuable, but I can see that deal happening. I'd rather not get rid of Sneijder. How about we throw in Royston Drenthe instead?

Florentino has reserved 76 million dollars to enlist the services of Ribery. The way Zidane has been pushing for this move to happen, it really is starting to take shape.
The list of players on the block is:
Sneijder
Huntelaar
Van Nistelrooy
Robben
Drenthe
Van der Vaart
Saviola
Heinze
Mahmadou Diarra (Lassana Diarra is staying)
I really think it's messed up. It is a big problem though, there seems to be a logjam at the attacking midfield position. I think only some of those players are leaving, not all, so let's hope the right ones stay.

So the dutch crew are all up for grabs? I hope we get to keep Sneijder, Huntelaar, Ruud, and Arjen. These are all exceptional players. I wonder why they didn't work out with Madrid. And is Lassana better to keep than Mahmadou?

What are the chances that we could get Fernando Torres or Kuyt.
Kerlon maybe?

lol. I truly believe Villa is coming to Real, and so is Ribery. I could make do with Benzema if Villa doesn't come (hah, make do, I'd be downright thrilled to see him wearing a Madrid uniform).
I don't know why they wanna get rid of the Netherland group. Might have something to do with the Netherlands coach stating a couple of months ago that Netherland players should leave if they're not gonna get any time on the pitch, because they'll need them in top form for the World Cup. But from all I've heard Sneijder wants to stay, Robben wants to say, Van Der Vaart also said he wants to stay (though Van Der Vaart said that a couple of months ago). I haven't heard anything from Huntelaar, but I really would love to keep him. At this point I'd keep him over Van Nistelrooy, even though Ruud is one of my favorite players. Age is a factor. But then again you have to consider the fact that Van Nistelrooy won't fetch as much as Huntelaar at this point and I'm sure they're trying to secure funds to make Ribery's acquisition possible.

I can´t understand Real. They should try to get rid of vdV, Metzelder and ~Raul. Maybe Guti ?
Meanwhile they obv. took another look in the pocket and offered 55 mn. € for Ribery.
I think they are weird.

I am torn between wanting Franck to stay at Munchen and him going to Real, but oh well. And I thought we got rid of Metzelder already lol I haven't watched a galacticos game in quite a while.

I think Real will never let Raul go, Guti maybe. I honestly don't know why they have kept him there for a long time. I do agree with letting Metzelder go. He just isn't the same or what we thought he would/could be. Also, maybe let Salgado go?
Bring Kerlon to Real! The seal dribble is our key to winning La liga and Champions League. Lmao

Wolfsburg, really........ How about Saviola and Royston Drenthe? Won't someone take Drenthe off our hands please? Please?
So Florentino says David Villa's signing is a matter of time, Zidane says Ribery's transaction is coming along well, now please, Florentino, won't you spend money on a left back and a right back so we can move Sergio to the middle?
And Juventus wants to get Gago and wants to swap Van Nistelrooy for Trezeguet. I think they get paid roughly the same. I think they're considered on the same level, but why not keep Van gol then? They're not saving/making any money....

Latest news: they're trying to get Xabi Alonso from Liverpool.
If only Mark Cuban was this free spending.

Re Bernardos comment about Cuban - I suggest we go and replace Donnie with Florentino Perez or Cuban should sell the Mavs to the real stockowners.

I just read. Tevez has rejected a ManU offer that would have made him to the the worlds best paid player. Next stop: Probably City.

Haha, we played so well we ended up classifying USA just by proximity.
"Hey, you're in the Americas too? Just join us in the 2nd round!"
Now, won't you guys be nice and beat Spain please?
Ballsy play by the USA, I must say.

Good game so far, but Spain makes the better game - US boys are lucky. Will be a tough one to reel it in.
Don´t think Del Bosque will make any adjustments.

The USA took advantage of its chances, Spain is failing on their shots. It should've been tied by now, but the USA is putting up quite a display on defense today. Very fierce, nothing is going on in the Spaniards' crosses to the goal box.
2-0 USA! Holy shite!
