I can't wait for future of Mazara, Brinson, Gallo etc. In the meantime I love the Ian Desmond signing. Go rangers!

I've always been a guy that loves the minor leagues almost as much as the majors... Can't wait to see Mazara, Brinson, Profar, Gallo, Tate, Matuella, and Ortiz as they advance.. Hopefully Guzman and Beras will continue to climb the ladder after some recent successes..
As for the Rangers, they might be a little light in the starting pitching department, but they're otherwise loaded. Holland and Perez need to be legitimate #3 starters especially until Darvish is back. If they're not, then this team will struggle early in the season.

Need Rangers to fly out of the gate with how Mavs have ended this season.

To start the season:
Hamels
Holland
Perez
Lewis
and probably
Griffin
When Darvish is back in hopefully May, Griffin is probably the odd man out.

Fantastic to get a win with only 1 hit. Great to see Odor taking that run-scoring walk.

Nomar Mazara! This kid looks like he can really hit.
Starting pitching off to a very good start this season. Bullpen shaky so far.
5-4 and in 1st place in the division. Not bad.

Yep, can't wait to see a lineup with Mazara, Brinson, Profar, Odor, and Gallo in it... You can always hope.

think the Rangers like Joey Bautista? Matt Bush plunks him first pitch and then when Bautista slides into the bag and Odor doesn't like it, he shoves him then clocks him with a right hook.
Profar time in arlington again? Odor gonna sit for at least 2-3 games? don't even know how long suspension is for that.

Loved it! Something tells me Odor is going to miss more than 2-3 games for that.

I fail to understand why they keep trotting Tollison out there over and over again. All the guy does is give up runs.

Rangers have put together a solid run the last couple weeks. Profar temporarily replacing Odor and the Rangers lost no offense. You is back and looks good. Tollison got bood off the field by fans (finally) and the bullpen is now holding on to leads.

Wish fans would have been more patient with a guy like Tolleson. It's not a situation like with Hamilton who just stopped giving a damn a couple of years back or Elvis who's head wasn't always into the game... And of course, it turns out that Tolleson is going through a very difficult stretch with his dad taking a significant turn for the worse with cancer...

No doubt he is deserving of sympathy. That is a difficult situation to go through. But the boos were predictable given his consistently awful performances. He should have been in Roundrock or Frisco or just not pitching. I guess ultimately this was a manager problem. But hard to get too worked up over it when the team is otherwise doing so well.

I have a lot more tolerance for guys that genuinely give it there all but they just can't find it.. It happens. I don't have a lot of sympathy for guys that pull a Hamilton or an Ian Kinsler... Kinsler half assed it so much ... couldn't have sympathy for that guy when he struggled.

Beltran, Jeffress, and Lucroy and only lose Tate, Ortiz, and Brinson. I liked Brinson's upside but I also hope that this means we go hard for Desmond long term at cf. Major upgrades to C, DH and bullpen.

Yeah I think it was a very nice trade deadline push today for a stronger playoff roster.
Hard to believe we could add what we added without giving up Gallo, Mazara, Profar or Odor.
Was expecting a starting pitcher to be acquired but I guess they found the price too high right now.

I think Lucroy is going to help the pitching by simply being able to frame pitches. Hopefully Colby comes back healthy soon and we get hot right before the playoffs. I agree we got a pretty good haul without giving up Gallo, Mazara, Profar, or Odor. I'd call that a success.

Yeah I remember when I saw an article with a video on espn a while back, maybe a year or 2 for his pitch framing. He's going to make all the pitchers better.

I didn't read the whole thing because it's pretty long, but sounds like he will be a great addition. Even better that he's not just a rental.

I have got one question on pitchers. When a pitcher has been pulled, can he brought back in later in the game ?

Well, usually not. You can move him from the mound to a different position and then back to the mound.. But that happens about once a decade.

Thanks guys. Otherwise a pitcher could be just rested and brought back in the 8th or 9th. That would be way too easy.

Really like the position the Rangers are in. If they get the top record they have HFA for every series, and they play much better at home. If Boston gets top record we play Cleveland instead of Baltimore/Toronto which I'd prefer. So I can see positives with either happening.
