Actually stand with Magic. Lakers are a trash franchise.
Magic is terrible too, but I love how the whole franchise looks like a dumpster fire. Everyone thought getting LeBron would give them prestige status, but they are still a quarreling group of children.

Magic is an idiot. All he cares for is himself.
Now he wants to make himself look better and get Pelinka fired. If it costs the Lakers a big FA, he doesnt care.

Anyone else a little nervous about Kawhi Leonard's leg?
He looks to be struggling with it and you can tell he is playing hurt.

Is it the same leg that started the Spurs drama? Either way, he said he's playing through it and it's playoff basketball. Love that.

Yes it is the same leg and I also like that he is playing through it - but I would hate
to see him get injured by gutting it out.

Raptors guard Danny Green was the highest vote-getter not to make either roster, receiving 19 First Team votes and appearing on 28 Second Team ballots. Patrick Beverley, Derrick White, Jimmy Butler, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, James Harden, Malcolm Brogdon and Stephen Curry all logged First Team votes in the backcourt but fell well short of the requisite number of votes to make either team.
While four deserving guards filled the All-Defensive guard slots, there were some head-scratching votes in the backcourt, including the First Team nods for Harden and Curry and a Second Team bid for Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving.

I can see votes for Curry and Irving, but the person who sent in a 1st team vote for Harden needs their voting privileges revoked.

@LeftSentThis: Have you noticed that there hasn’t been a single story/controversy about the NBA refs since the Rockets were eliminated? There hasn’t been anyone falling down while shooting jumpers. None of that sh*t.

At some point you'd think that it would just chafe the NBA and refs enough to develop a subconscious desire to actually start being unfair with them. It undermines the whole sport to whine about calls all the time when your team is the one that if flagrantly kicking out on jumpers, flopping, jumping into players, etc.

@TheSteinLine: Warriors say they "anticipate" DeMarcus Cousins (quad) playing in The NBA Finals while remaining merely "hopeful" that Kevin Durant (strained right calf) can also return

PTI had a story tonight of a Rockets rift between Paul and Harden.
Two of my least favorite players and a team I can’t stand.
Nice summer so far...

Thank goodness I'm not a Rockets fan. They have to make it work, especially with Paul's contract. Problem is their best shot was last season and I think they know it. Paul's only getting older and way more expensive. $44mm at 36 for an injury prone guard? LOL

I hate how Moreys newest discovery now completly ruined the game. The mathematical best shot isnt anymore the three or the layup. Its flopping at a 3-pointer resulting in three FTs.
Thats the whole reason why Harden started to flop like crazy on them. I saw a statistic, he had like 230 fouls and the next guy in the list like 30 or 40...
Cant wait until Morey just goes away...

All they need to do to solve a great deal of the issue is change the landing zone rule to apply only when the shooter goes straight up and not allow them to jump forward left right and all around like Harden does. Then seriously eliminate the corner 3 because there are guys who shoot the 3 at a respectable 37 overall but shoot 50% from corners. Meaning they really aren't respectable it's just the corners that drag up a sub par average to respectable. There really shouldn't be 3 points awarded for a shot that's nearly 2 feet shorter than other 3's anyway.

It will be Interesting to see what the Bucks do after they folded being up 2-0. Hopefully that makes Brogdon available. One can hope!

Kawhi was the highest pick at 15. Kyle was 24th, and this is his third team. Pascal, 27. Ibaka, 24, and this is his third team. Gasol, Green and Powell were second-rounders. VanVleet wasn't drafted. The coach came via Britain and the G-League. Masai came from Africa. The Raptors.

Kawhi is a drama queen and deserves no title. But kinda rooting for the city of Toronto. That's a feel-good story. If it's GSW I hope they pull it off without meaningful help from the Nazgul.

Jalen Rose reveals that Chris Paul became upset with James Harden during timeouts & post-game as he felt Harden was Sabotaging his game.
Paul felt Harden was disinterested, trailing the play, and allowing the defense to double up when Chris Paul was initiating the offense.

Playing iso ball + defending the Warriors = tired players
D'antoni-ball will never win in the playoffs where defenses grind out possessions by collapsing on drivers and rotating well.
