People on ESPN are saying some bad things about "our man" Dampier. Main quotes

Has anyone seen this boob play before this year? I have NBA League Pass and have watched several Golden St. Warrior games and Dampier used to get booed by the home crowd because his head was not in the game and he lacked a killer instinct in not being able to dominate down low against smaller inferior players and the crowd recognized that right away, calling him soft.

I've been saying the same thing about Dampier I live in the Bay Area, this guy makes Shaq look like a self motivated hard worker, he played ok during his walk year of course because he wants to get paid, I don't want this lazy SOB on this squad, go from one big with bad work ethic to another. No thank you.

there is some truth to what they are saying...damp really doesn't live up to his potential. still, i want him here way more than big z. in fact, i want him here pretty much ahead of everyone not named shaq or dalembert. whatever the problems dampier has, i think he can be a real difference maker here.

After Shaq, it's a league full of soft centers. Dampier is just the best of the rest. I hope we get him but not overpay him as a couple others have already mentioned above.

V2M, I think I would put Dalembert & Magloire on the list of "the best of the rest" above Damp.
