Red Sox vs. Cardinals
Rematch of the 47 and 67 World Series. The Red Sox haven't played in the World Series since 87 Bill Buckner anyone. Has the curse come to a complete halt will the Red Sox win the World Series for the first time since 1918. Curt Schilling is coming off an inhuman performance perhaps one of the greatest perfomances of all time in a playoff game. Pedro has been for the most part average to mediocre in the ALCS. David Ortiz is coming off of a ALCS record 11 RBI's and Jonny Damon is coming off one of the most dominating offensive games of the postseason. Damon had two homeruns and 6 RBI's in a decisive game 7 victory over the Yankees.
The Cardinals have one of the most devistating lineups in baseball. And Larry Walker is their fourth best hitter on the ball club. Jim Edmonds made one of the most spectacular plays in recent memory. The Cardinals have a solid rotation although no real Aces. They have a good bullpen with Jason leading the way with 47 saves in the Regular Season and three in the NLCS. This series should go 7 games and I am picking the Red Sox. Starting Rotations Edge Red Sox Bullpen Even Infields Cardinals Outfields Red Sox Intangibles Red Sox and Cardinals came back from improbable deficits. But the Red Sox did something so rare it has only happened two other times in professional sports. Simply amazing. Prediction Red Sox in 7 games the curse of the bambino is over.
