Heat release guard Khalid El-Amin
.c The Associated Press MIAMI (AP) - The Miami Heat released point guard Khalid El-Amin on Monday. In his only action of the preseason, El-Amin was held scoreless with one turnover in five minutes Friday against Minnesota. El-Amin, a second-round pick in 2000 by Chicago, averaged 6.3 points and 2.9 assists in 50 games for the Bulls during the 2000-01 season. He signed with Miami last month. El-Amin split time last season between the Gary Steelheads and the Dakota Wizards of the CBA, and with Strasbourg IG in France.

DAmn how many ex mavs have been cut? Leon SMith, Omar Cook are just a couple that come to mind and now El Amin.
