Default Congrats to Dirk: Another All-NBA Selection

For the 12th consecutive season, Dirk Nowitzki is an all-nba player.

Nice. Well deserved.

But 2nd team would be more reasonable. Griffin is overrated.

And Westbrook/Parker should be 1st team instead of Kobe/Paul.

I can't believe Griffin made the teams and LaMarcus Aldridge did not.

Some actually voted Melo and Chandler to the first team. And some didn't vote for LeBron for the first team. Some of it's baffling.

Dirk and Melo on the same team is just wrong. lol. really.

Aldridge should be there (together with Griffin).

Nowitzki and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant are the only players who have been named All-NBA each of the past 12 seasons.

"It is an honor to make the All-NBA Team again," Nowitzki said in a news release. "To be named among the best players in this league is always still very humbling for me. I also appreciate the opportunity to represent my teammates and the Mavericks organization on this list."

Honestly I am a little surprised Dirk made it, considering the career near-low numbers he put up this year. (.457 FG%, .368% 3Pt, 2.2 APG, 6.7 RPG, 21.6 PPG, .5 BPG)

It was a down year, but that's the kind of respect he still can get.
And, three words:

In related news: Shawn Marion left off All-Defensive teams.

Voted #8 for DPOY, only got 3 votes for the All-Defensive team... SNUB.

Yep, had an off-year, still finished 8th in PPG.

How does Chandler, DPOY, not make the first team? That makes sense...

Good job as always Dirk. Deron is a fool if he doesn't want to play with you.

Seriously? BG on the 2nd team? Paul and Kobe over Westbrook and Parker?

Paul on the first team is perfectly deserved. Kobe, not so much.

I'm fine with each of these teams, though I would swap Dirk and Blake. Chandler winning DPOY and not making All-Defense First Team reminds me of the time that Bill Russell won MVP (voted on by his peers) and didn't make the All-NBA First Team.

Sometimes the national media, many of whom I suspect watch a minimal amount of games outside of ESPN highlights, just flaunts its stupidity, snatching bad decisions from the jaws of easy ones.
