Haha, I ate my words there!
Nice hit, what were the Angels thinking not walking Josh?!

Well he was 0-4 beforehand. But with Young on 2nd, a walk was probably the best thing. There were many things the Angles will want back during this game.

I would much rather pitch to the rookie David Murphy than the leading HR and RBI leader in the American League...
A win tomorrow puts us just 5.5 back, I'm starting to think we have something special here

So is tomorrow a pitcher or a belly itcher day?
Do we have any "starters" not making their major league debut?

Feldman isn't making his debut, but I wouldn't call him a solid starter...

True, hopefully he keeps it up. Especially now that Padilla is on the DL.
Keep it up Rangers!

It just seem like everytime I turn on the tv, the voice of the San Diego Chargers is telling me about someones major league debut tonight.

That combined with being four games over .500 is a GOOD thing. Again, say it with me: It's not about this season.....

I had TiVo'd the game..stopped watching in about the 6th...went for a run.. came back.. slumped down in my seat when I saw Fankie give up the two run jack... almost woke up the neighborhood when Hamilton went yard.
That was an amazing game. I didn't really have a huge issue with the Angels going after Hamilton. There's solid logic either way regardless of whether you decide to walk him or pitch to him. Last night..it worked out for the Rangers.

hamilton no longer leads in homers(though thats a mute point) and you NEVER intentionally put the winning run on base. If you walk hamilton, a double wins the game instead of a homer and murphy has more doubles than hamilton does homers. Plus if krod gets wild again(hed already walked one on 4 pitches) or the rangers decide to do a double steal(entirely possible with his insanely slow delivery) you have allowed the winning run in scoring position and the tieing run to third without giving up a hit.

One of the biggest things about last nights game aside from the win obviously is the faith that the coaching staff showed in scott feldman. If he doesnt go 6 or 7 tonight we are pretty much royally screwed. That said hes been a horse all year so i have faith in him. If josh stays hot hes got an outside shot at tieing juans first half rbi record. 12 rbi in 4 games is alot but its not unheard of if he has a 5 or 6 rbi game in there somewhere.

12 rbi in 4 games is nearly impossible. Anyway, I consider Josh already the best since Juan, even though he was my hero back then, was obviously roided up.

Well...I'm sure there have been probably a few hundred instances where a player has had 12 RBI's in a 4 game stretch in major league history...considering that 12 has been accomplished in a single game.
It's definitely unlikely..but obviously possible. I know that Juan did it at least 4 times.... including 13 twice over a 4 game stretch in the same season.

I've never seen a team hit the ball harder than the Rangers have today.
... it's not about this year.

He got ejected after arguing that Davis's 2B was a HR - the umps got it right, I think, but Wash was hardly being demonstrative. I don't know why they would have ejected him.

I don't see why the hell it isn't about this year. I mean, it is about the next few years moreso, with all the young talent, but if we pull this out we're only 5.5 games out of a playoff spot with half the season to go.
