Really bad game day thread!
Don't the Mavs play tonight?

Hell yeah! Tonight's the night that OJ realizes his potential as The One, Chris Kaman show up with a Willis Reed Game/Flu Game (Jordan AND Dirk) and Darren Collison comes out of '09-'10 Darren Collison's shadow.

Kaman out:
Quote:
Dallas Mavericks center Chris Kaman will not play in Monday's game against the New Orleans Hornets because of a strained calf, Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle announced Monday morning.
Kaman also missed Saturday's preseason game in Atlanta because of the calf. Carlisle did not say when he expects Kaman to return.
The 7-footer received treatment on the calf this weekend as the club works to keep him healthy. Kaman, 30, has had a history of injury issues, missing 152 games in the previous five seasons. He signed a one-year, $8 million deal with the Mavericks this summer.

Roddy expected to play:
Quote:
After dislocating a finger Saturday night vs. ATL, Rodrigue Beaubois is still expected to play tonight vs. New Orleans.

MAVS pre-season > MNF>Game 7 baseballs.
OJ MAyo ain't gonna realize nothing he already hasn't. You have it or you don't, and you damn sure ain't gonna find it in a preseason game.

Repworthy thread. Love it.
Wonder what will be the bigger flop-- the game or the debate.

Collison should watch some Kidd videos. He needs to pass the ball quicker.

Looks like mavs are doing fine against the Whorenets.
(Wright is a new CENTER project??)
Elton has been good so far. Finally an offensive inside presence with the MAVS. It's been a long while since anyone can say that i suppose.

There have been some whack lineups out there this pre season.

Yep, that's what preseason is for . . . because I sure as hell don't ever want to see Roddy/Delonte/Dahntay/Carter/Wright on the floor in the regular season!

Collison is getting it done right now... Mayo is trying a little too hard at times.

Shawn Marion was probably the best player on the floor to end the half.

Him and West had a little run in the Alba game but that was it. I definitely would like to see different pairings.

Througout the entire preseason. I think they played the exact same minutes last game and it was looking to be that way again tonight. Just wondering why Carlisle is tightly pairing them.

It's not easy to get outrebounded 62-40, have your starting SG shoot 25%, have your entire team shoot 36%, and still win by double digits.

Mavs fans i know your anxiety to see if OJ will play to potential. But stop basing it on anything he does preseason. Its preseason, the Lakers are 0-6 right now. OJ knows he going to have to carry the offense so he is just easying the transition.
Oct 30th is all that matters to him

I'm secretly sporting the crackpot theory of this poster actually being OJ Mayo - no one can be that passionate/crazy about SOMEONE ELSE.

35yo Carter and 34yo Marion grabbed almost 50% of our rebounds. Guys like Collison, Mayo, Roddy, Crowder and Wright look soft and undersized.
