Clippers come to Dallas for some home cooking.

Mavs had floundered at .500 for 16 games before winning 4 in a row of late (all easy games, however). Clippers are one of the hottest teams in the NBA at 7-2

We did not play our best against them last time 114-99 loss around Thanksgiving
and Luka had 22 pts on 4-of-14 shooting, 8rebs and 6 assists AND 7 turnovers.

Tough matchup for Luka given the defenders they can throw at him. Hope KP can play and show out...his knee is getting more worrisome by the game...

After going through the entire practice today, Porzingis sounded like he's going to play Tuesday against the LAC. He said: "I felt great out there, full of energy. I'm ready to get back to work and help my team. I haven't talked to the medical staff. I would love to play."

This is the one team in the West I feel we have little to no chance to win a 7 game series in the playoffs against assuming both teams are healthy. While we got dominated in our 3rd meeting we should have beaten the Lakers twice. Clippers with that defense will give us problems every time we face them.

Honestly wouldn't mind sneaking into the playoffs at 6 or 7 and facing the Jazz (N/A) or Nugs (1-1) Lakers have shotblocking. Clippers have a solid defensive roster. Both teams are allowed to be overly physical with Luka.

I think we could hypothetically beat the Nugs, Jazz in 7 and I think we'd be the favorites to beat the Rockets, Grizz, and Thunder.

I could see the Mavs struggling to win a single playoff game against the Clippers. They just seem like a terrible matchup. Hope the Mavs give us a glimmer of hope tonight.

Got to mix things up on the Clips, don't be predictable. Don't have Luka bring up the ball on every possession, and run plays to get the ball back to him after bringing it up. Keep driving the lane and don't settle for high difficulty threes.
