It's only the 1st quarter. Don't give up.
Maybe the did this on purpose, give Wash. a false confidence. haha

What I don't understand why Finley left, he was the only one who could actually hit something out there.
NVE has hit a couple, and at least taken it to the basket with missed results, but it's the effort that I'm happy with.
Finley, NVE and Walt Williams are the only Mavs to score.

Nice play from Nash to Dirk for the layup.
Bad call on Najera on one end, but he's had two HUGE plays on the offensive end.
Thank you Najera!!

Finally, we look alive.
Walt can make it a 9 point game if he hits his ft.

WHY DON'T PUT NAJERA SINCE THE BEGINNING? He had played well against wizards always.

If Walt makes the free throw, we are under 10.
And for once we are starting to show a little hustle on both sides.

That was the WORST play I've seen this year.
That's two plays in this game alone that Dirk should be embarrassed about.
Thank you Najera!!

NVE, Najera, and Williams deserve HUGE credit for stepping up off the bench today.
Out of the starters, Finley is the only one who looked awake and even he wasn't all that impressive.

Dirk is definitely out of sorts.
Although that was a nice steal that he had.
NVE is scoring but his passing today is awful.

It seems that we are getting in control, but Dirk isn't still there.

I know we're only down 5 at the half, but I'm shaking my head at some of these plays they've had.
What was that by Nash just now?
Here's hoping for a smarter 2nd half.

If Dirk gets awake for the second half, this is going to be an easy task.
But, if it happens, we are going to watch Nellie ball the entire 4th quarter

Najera and Walt Williams are really helping. Although Walt Wizard had a dumb foul on a jump shooter late. Dirk needs to wake up or this game will be history. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Wizards come out in the 3rd like a house on fire. I guess a 5 point deficit isn't too bad.

What's up with Dirk? It's like the lights are on but nobody's home.
Thank goodness Fin didn't go party with Dirk and Steve last night.
Good thing we were'nt playing SA today or this game would likely be over. Let's hope the Mavs get a wakeup call at half time.

This game is similar to the Sacramento game at home where the guys seem to be completely sluggish for some reason. Ugly game so far. Will somebody please punch Laettner in the face?

actualy, our sluggish game is exactly what makes me feel so confidence we'll take this one,and i dont think it'll even be that hard.
that was a terrible half, yet were only down by five, and if the have was a couple of minutes longer,we could have been up.
we have the momentom, and i think we should excpect a better half than dirk.
btw,why are you all bitching about steve,he has 6 assits at the half.
didnt you always wanted him to become less of a SG and more of a PG?

I'm suprised that the game is as close as it is. But somebody needs to step up and play. Our reserves are outscoring our starters.

Look on the bright side with Dirk's numbers:
1st quarter
0 points (0-5 FG)
1 rebound
1 turnover
0 assists
0 steals
0 blocks
2nd quarter
5 points (2-4 FG)
3 rebounds
1 turnover
0 assists
1 steal
0 blocks
Definite improvement. And let's hope the curve increases again in the 3rd and 4th.
