Default Lamar Odom on Trade Block?

Inside Dish: Lakers' Odom could be on trading block
By Ira Winderman - SportingNews

On one hand, just getting back into the playoffs and then taking the Suns to seven games was victory enough for the Lakers. On the other, when the egos of SG Kobe Bryant and coach Phil Jackson are involved, good is never good enough. With so much invested in Bryant and Jackson, it will be interesting to see how much of a luxury tax payment Jerry Buss will be willing to make for playoff success. Don't discount a trade of PF Lamar Odom as part of a roster remix. Even more than length, the Lakers need bulk. . . .

Do you think Lamar Odom would fit into our system at all, possibly as a SF and a PF backup? Would he accept that role? I doubt it, but it's worth speculating. What about a Stack/M'Benga/Draft pick for Lamar Odom deal? Even though it's not a necessary deal, nor likely, what are your guys' thoughts?

Also, any thoughts on if he will be traded and where he'll go if he does? The Lakers are looking for a big man.

i'd be for it. but we dont have any pieces that the lakers would be interested in.

probably harris and howard are our two most attractive pieces and we aren't trading them for odom.

i'd probably do a crackhouse/marquis daniels for odom. but thats about the extent of it.

your starting lineup then becomes terry/howard/odom/nowitzki/diop

pretty nice rotation.

We also could sign and trade m'benga because the Lakers want a big man.

The Lakers will be looking to add a SIGNIFICANT piece. I'm thinking something like Kevin Garnett or Allen Iverson. A Stackhouse/Daniels trade won't get it done, especially since both players play the same position as Kobe.

If the Lakers deal Odom, they'll be looking to get a big in return. We don't have any to offer them.

I am a HUGE Lamar Odom fan. He is without question better than anyone on this team but dirk at the moment. That said why oh why are we doing trade talk right now? The whole point of the season is to get to the point you are at now,(well actually the finals but this is close enough for now) and you guys are already thinking about the offseason? When the offseason actually gets here ill do as many crazy scenarios as anyone. You can check my post history and see some of the ones ive started but as for now just sit back and enjoy the ride.
