109 thousand votes for Dampier? Will Nash start? Dirk still second team.

Sad news for Kirilenko. He deserves to be playing.

4 selections...not bad. Terry should be higher. Terry could have been higher had he played

I still dont get why All-star voting has to be so early. We havent seen anything yet.

PS: Vlade and Grant have done jack crap.

dirk will never get any respect because

a) his name isn't garnett or duncan
b) he's white
c) he isn't black

the same with Steve Nash

Amare stoudemire should be starting along with steve nash and ray allen...

and I believe Vince carter is one of the leading vote getters in teh east..i think i'm gonna cry

antawn jamison and grant hill should be starting at the forward positions in the east alongside Wade, Lebron and Shaq..the east is so easy to pick..

Carter is 2nd behind Shaq for most votes in the East.

-12.5 +/- rating

Emeka Okafor (-0.5), Pau Gasol (-0.9), Reggie Miller (-0.9), Allen Iverson (-4.0), Latrine Sprewell (-4.9) round out the allstar vote-getters that have negative plus/minus ratings.

He and Amare deserve to be starting. The All-star team is all about a popularity contest. Duncan is a center.

i would do away with fan voting if i could. it's a giant popularity contest and most fans just vote for players from their hometown team anyway, not for who deserves it. half the fans voting pickup punchout ballots at the games and don't even know the kinds of seasons other players are having.

The All Star game isn't to congradulate players it's a game for the fans.

I'm not a big CWebb fan but the fact that he is not getting All Star Votes while averaging 20.5 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists a game is pretty ridiculous.

If you look at the people in front of him though and it kinda shows why he isn't getting many votes. But I do agree he does deserve a spot on the bench and he might just get it.

What I'm really looking forward to seeing in the all-star game is a certain pick-and-roll two ex-teammates used to run..........

yeah that's what they say.....but it's no doubt an honor to be an allstar. when different shows introduce dirk for something.....they say 3 time allstar dirk nowitzki. yeah it's a fans game, but that doesn't mean they don't pick undeserving players. at least the coaches make up for most of the deserving players.

Carter is on my fantasy team and has been a pain in the butt low point provider all season long and on top of this is injured, again...

I'd rather see Toine on All-Star weekend...

Although it's 'for the fans' it makes it a joke when people like VC are perenial All-Star starters when we all know he shouldnt be (this year at least). And I wish Yao would develop the demeanor and as a result the game/stats to warrant all those votes...

I think the All-Stars should be decided by the coaches, GM's, and maybe a select panel of media or something.

Josh Howard = Tayshaun Prince. Like Prince, Howard is a young and extremely athletic SF who offers great defense and rebounding and the ability to be a complementary scorer. Actually, Howard has better rebounding numbers than Tayshaun in about a minute less of playing time per game and despite being a couple of inches shorter. Howard also has better steals numbers. He could end up being a perennial choice for NBA All-Defensive team.

All star voting seems to be little kids dosen't it? People were amazed at all the stupid picks last year.

Yeah too bad about ak47, he should be in their automatically if healthy. That guy's nuts. He's everywhere on the court.
