This win was great for the team because Dirk outside of his 3pt play to stop the mini rally in the 4th was ineffective. He was being abused by Gasol (he usually matches up well against him) and Odom. It was really the Kidd, Terry, Marion, and Sasha show.

Did you notice:
1. I don't think Kobe score more than 4pts when Deshawn was guarding him. It is a shame Stevenson shot has disappeared.
2. You saw the nervousness on the Mavs face at the start of the game, and the anxiety when the Lakers got off towards the end of the 1st quarter.
3. Dirk only tried one one-legged fadaway during the game. All of his points came on driving or face-ups.
4. Not saying he had anything to do with it, but Haywood was actually the center when the Mavs made their comebacks in the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
6. Those two shots he took were Ajinca worthy.
7. Flu-like symptoms is the polite way of saying diarrhea and/or nauseous.
8. I wish Terry would shut up. His disappearance has been one of the main issues in the losing streak.
9. The AAC crowd sucks so bad. To the lack of passion and noise, it just sucks so bad. Your team has endured one of its worst stretches in over a decade and they start filing to exits with 3 minutes to play. Stay to the very end and give this team a standing ovation before they go on another road trip. Three minutes ain't gonna hurt nobody.

This was a great win and a lot of you guys called for the win on here and db.com. I thought they were destined to lose because it was a home game.

I live nowhere near Dallas. But when the Sixers win we do stay and give them an ovation.

Another observation
1. I heard none of that artificial noise and chants from the PA announcer.

Good for you...There are plenty of mavs fans who never leave no matter the score. They even stay and give them an ovation when they lose.

Also plenty of mavs fans wait until the teams has existed the tunnel before they leave.

Are you telling me that in Philadelphia where they average 13,000 fans in a 20,000 seat arena that everyone stays?

A tight game against the mighty Lakers or the hated Celtics and even when James was on the Cavs, hell yeah.

I went to the Sixers vs Dallas game last year which was about 90% full and that place was packed til the end even though Dallas wasn't very competitive (I was pissed) and the home team was beyond atrocious that year.

When the home team is playing against the marquee franchises and the ball game is tight, the home crowd should be the 6th man. Say what you want, but the road game against Portland in which Dirk hit the three and told the crowd to sit down, is what I wanted last night. It doesn't have to be every night, but last night definitely.
