dallas indy
mavs trade:
dampier
jason terry
mbenga
pacers trade:
jeff foster
jamal tinsley
pollard
pacers get a banger to compliment o'neal. get some additional outside shooting from terry to supplement the loss of reggie miller. mavs do the deal to get rid of dampier's contract, take back jeff foster a very nice player. and pick up tinsley who perhaps fits AJ's pg vision a bit better.
thoughts?

Sorry shouldnt have answered that way. Good answer though. To answer the reasons why Jet is better than tinsley, Damp is better than foster and Benga nor Pollard really matters so no i wouldnt do the trade.

RE: dallas indy
I could come up for arguments for why this trade might not be bad, but I don't see that it's a clear improvement so I wouldn't do it.
As long as Foster's name has come up though, I'll take this opportunity to mention (again) that I think he may be the most underrated player in the league. He can play on my team any day.

Well, given that I´m a bit fed up about Dampier and a fan of Foster aswell, it´s a tempting trade, especially as I´m all for getting a guy on the board who´s able to get more than 5.5 assists per game over a season.
But taking a look at our current situation at PG, I´d consider it a major problem to trade away the only real quality guy we have there (on a consisten basis) for a guy who might not be able to win the competition with Devin Harris for the starting job.
So it´s tempting, but still a no.

Dampier is a valuable piece of this team. If he can just limit the games where he dips into a fun he is certainly worth having around here.

I would not do a deal with indy unless artest or O'neal is in it and that is very unliky to happen. I think you could get more value from those three mavs than that
