J-Ho.
Easy without him Barea, Bass, and Damp's performances would be useless.

as much as you gotta prop Barea and Bass for their production, Dampier's rebounds and points were huge, and as you said, his D on Duncan

Barea's an option...
Or are you saying you want to vote for "Barrera" and there isn't an option called "Barrera"?

I agree. I voted Josh, but I was very close to voting Damp. His defense on Duncan was incredible, and his tip-ins and rebounding was great.

It really should be Damp, if we can continue to play Duncan straight-up, the Spurs should not have a chance. I know Duncan got his 27 points, but he made some very difficult shots to get there... which is fine by me. I don't think they are going 11-14 from three again this series.

Difficult to single out just one but my vote goes do Damp. He really hustled out there. His tip ins, rebounds, and defense on Duncan were spectacular.
Props to Josh, JJB, and Bass though.
And of course, left texas for the GDT.

I'm going with Bass. Yes, Damp, Barea and JHo were just great, especially in the second half, but without Bass we wouldn't have closed the gap in the second quarter after Dirk was benched due to foul trouble.

One thing about Dampier, and this isn't to take anything away from his performance, but more to praise JJ.
Dampier did get some really nice (clutch?) tip-ins, but almost every tip-in he had was thanks to JJ penetrating into the lane and forcing Duncan to come over to give weak-side help. One of the tip-ins Dampier had was completely uncontested with nobody within 5 feet of Damp. JJ's ability to slice into the lane was crucial, even if he didn't get every shot to fall, Damp often got the follow.

Damp. Barea played great, but Damp played at an all-star level IMO.
Who didn't play well though? Even Kidd had another clutch steal in the final few minutes.

When Dirk sat down with 3 fouls, I'm not sure we were still in that game if it wasn't for Bass.

Well, actually if you think about it there was no clear "player of the game" that really just took the team on their back.
I say it was a full team effort.
No ones numbers were astonishing they all had a good solid game.

Well, if the requirements for being player of the game is taking the team on your back, then half the games there will be no PotG.
However, I agree that everybody played just great this game. Even though Dirk and JET didn't have gaudy stat lines, they made their shots when given the chance. Kidd grabbed 8 boards and had a clutch steal, Wright had his clutch offensive moments.
edit: You could just vote for Left Texas, if you don't want to vote for Josh/JJ/Bass/Damp...

Thats a game where there is just no player of the game.
It was the effort of the complete team, all 8 that played heavy minutes.
That was a game like the pistons played in their best years.

Now there is real basketball savy, we all know the importance of the game day thread. After about 10 beers last night, I did think I was the MVP of the game!
edit:tcat075 I have to spread some rep around / monty55555 you got yours!

Barea and JHo are both good choices. I personally went with JHo because he is the X-factor in this series and actually took advantage of his matchup with Finely
