For instance, if one of your 12 guys gets hurt during the first round and then you advance, can you switch him with somebody else?

I'm pretty sure you can't, but I was hoping for some confirmation...

I don't think you can either. I think if you have a bunch of people get hurt, you go shorthanded. Although I'm like you, I'm not sure either.

What is the purpose of limiting the 12 man roster for the playoffs?

I know that it's limited to players on the roster by March 1, but didn't Buckner come off the IL after the first round last year? Maybe you can only make a move after first round but not after?
