If the Kings wouldn't have Bobby Jackson on their team they would be even behind the Lakers on the standings... I guess he'll even start when Mike Bibby's back! At least at shooting guard...

What's the deal with Kings not being able to play well on the road?

They almost lost to the Nugs last night. Too bad Whitney's last-second three didn't go in.

Mav's are playing well, but they still have yet to prove they can beat a healthy lakers team or a healthy Kings team this year.

True, but then again the Mavs haven't been completely healthy this year either. And now Najera will be out a little over a month depending on his personal recovery time. The Mavs and Kings have handled the set backs well, the Lakers...well just read some articles from the LA Times and the Daily News. That'll tell you all you need to know.

If Nash was gone (bibby), Finley (peja) ,Lafrents (pollard), griffin (hedo). Do you think with a starting five of Nick, walt, dirk, najera, bradly, can win as many games as Sacramento Kings 16-5. I personally don't think so, yet so far, Mavs had an easier schedule than Kings and Lakers.

Has it been possible for the Mavs to prove that they could beat a healthy Lakers or Kings team this year? Or is there anything that the Mavs could have done to have proven that they could? If they had won at Indiana on Thanksgiving, their only loss in 18 tries, would that have proved it? If they were winning by a bigger average margin that 13+ points, tops in the NBA? What could they have done? If you look at team stastistics the Mavs are near the top of almost every meaninful stastistic, do they need to #1 in all?

My opinion is that the Mavs can prove that they can beat a healthy Lakers or Kings or Denver or Miami or any team that they have not played or who they have played when the team wasn't healthy is to beat that team when the team is healthy. The Mavs don't control their own destiny in this matter. They weren't the ones who put the Lakers and the Kings in the ICU. All the Mavs can and should worry about is beating the teams, healthy or not, who show up to play them every night. There is no iron clad decree that the Mavs will ever play a healthy Lakers or Kings team this year. Even last year in the playoffs, Peja was hurt for the Kings for most of the series. If the Mavs go all the way this year to the finals and win, but never beat a "healthy" Lakers or Kings team does that mean that David Stern has to put an * by their name as champions?

Dude, give us a break. We have only 8 guys and it was a back to back [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Even in our blowout win over the Nugs last night we had to play the "starters" big minutes because there's just no one else available.
