at THIS pace, Duncan could end up with close to 40 rebounds..
very possible but HIGHLY Unlikely..

RE:Spurs @ Mavs 2/26/04
If championship ball is flinging a 60 footer at the end of a quarter then the Mavs approach is all wrong. Walker and the gang needs to start shooting from halfcourt.... (besides, it wouldn't hurt Walker's %. )

RE:Spurs @ Mavs 2/26/04
Pretty decent so far...
Rebounding....SA 26 and Mavs 24
Shooting.......Mavs 43 % and SA 37%
3 pointers.....each has 4.
Assists..........Mavs 9 and SA 6
Turnovers .....each has 7.
FT's .............Mavs 12-14...Spurs 8-11.
If we can stay even on the boards and continue to get FT shots...this could look real good...
Nice "stealth" half by Jamison with 7 points and 5 boards in 15 minutes.
Someone tell Dirk to hit the boards please.

If the Spurs shoot 37% in the 2 1/2 we win by more than 10.
Someone is goin to go on a run to win this one.

RE: Spurs @ Mavs 2/26/04
I hope Nelson sticks with this rotation with the exception of using Najera or Fortson in spots.
Stick with Finley, Dirk, and Jamison on the offensive end until they go cold. Nash, too, if he calms down and takes care of the ball.
Everyone must step up their effort on the boards.
I wonder if hack-a-?? is far away?

BTW, Gilbert Arenas (21 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists) led Washington to 95-87 victory over Chicago.

RE: Spurs @ Mavs 2/26/04
I hope Duncan isn't hurt. He was holding his knee and not the thigh which he had injured earlier in the game.
Fin didn't get credited for the 2nd steal on the inbounds turnover by Parker, but I love how he's making things happen out there.

Nice to see our point production increasing each quarter...from 23 to 25 and 18 already in the 3rd.
Rebounds tied at 27...

Another beautiful pass by Finley for the Walker throw down. And that 3-pointer by Walker was just icing.

Dirk has to get rid of that let your man blow by you then try to tap the ball out from behind move. That's the definition of matador defense.
