Coach Don Nelson called Vernon Maxwell over to the sideline at practice Friday.
Maxwell, after 12 years in the NBA, knew what was coming.
“Vernon, it’s time you start playing well,’ that’s what he told me,’’ Maxwell tells DallasBasketball.com. “I knew he’d eventually say something. He’s right. It’s time to step to the plate.’’

Mad Max hasn't been hot yet this year. He's got to earn his playing time or we may not see him get off the bench very much more.

The DMN says Maxwell's halftime speech was a big reason for the Mavs win last night. See, he can help this team. Even if he can't make a shot.

yes, he does do that.
as poorly as he's shooting, i'd just assume he disappear on the offensive side. no more shooting for maxwell
