Default Cassell to Sacto
Sacramento has apparently traded a protected future second rounder for Boston's Sam Cassell and cash. Unless they are actually getting more cash than Cassell's contract, I don't understand the trade for Sacto. You give up a second rounder, for a guy you'll likely waive (according to the article). Maybe it's one of those deals where both teams actually make money because of differences in position relative to the luxury tax.

Cassell's contract was a minimum deal.... the Celts kicked in enough cash so the Kings could essentially buy him out free of charge. And I think the 2nd rounder is super duper protected.

sam cassell contributed a lot to the celtics championship run last year! he is a great locker room guy and he provided proven championship experience to the younger players.
