TRADE ACCEPTED

Can't happen until after the 24th, but:

Philly trades Buckner/Jackson contracts for TAW's contract and gets Walker for BigDog. TAW can actually play for Sixers and gives them a perimeter defender. Maybe they then sign Dampier to MLE unless than get GS to take Korver as their fee for doing a S&T.

Knicks get more expiring contracts to play with. Big Dog may thrive in NY.

Dallas doesn't get roster relief just yet but does get more usable players on the roster. Tim Thomas expires after 2005-2006 season so we just postpone Walker's contract for another year and get a 6'10" SF/PF swingman. He is a definite upgrade over Najera at that swing position. Jackson helps our center rotation as well as PF.

This is a solid roster with a good mix of vets and youth that I would be willing to take into the playoffs against any team in the West.

PG: Daniels/Harris/Penny/Steff
SG: Stack/Daniels/Penny/Steff
SF: Fin/Howard/Thomas
PF: Dirk/Thomas/Jackson
C: Bradley/Booth/Jackson/Benga

IR: AJ/Pavel/Najera

Delk has to be traded for a second round pick or bought out. Maybe Atlanta would take him for a veteran to go with all of the rookies they now have.

Maybe Clipps take Najera for a second rounder. They still have cap room. Clipps might be willing to take both Delk/Najera for one player they want to move.

Steff has to be played this year in game situations so Mavs know if he is a keeper as our future backup PG/SG.

AJ may have to take one for the team and retire and be satisfied to be an assistant coach.
