Default 2013/2014 MAVS

I think we would not be far away if Dirk would have been healthy...

My team 2013/2014:

Wright/Pekovic or Splitter(if available)/James
Dirk/Brand
Josh Smith/ Crowder
Tyreke Evans or Kevin Martin(if available)/Mayo(if he opts in)/Carter/Cunningham
Collison/Nate Robinson/ Beaubois or Barbosa

Would trade Marion...
Should try to get Howard or Bynum though...

How would youre mavs look a like?

I would try to keep Marion as the defense anchor on the wings! But think we will loss Carter, also if Cuban loves him.
Think if it is possible to get the two big fishes, Marion will agree to ETO and sign for less to win to have the MLE re signing Mayo, also he will join a Team with D12, Dirk, Marion, Paul. All the bench could come back and some good veterans!

So Mavs should trade #13, Cunningham, James, Carter to OKC and / or Utah to receive two future 1st.

Draft Thomas or Murphy. Sign Paul 18m 4y and sign & trade Howard for two 1st 2014 and a 1st 2016. Take Mayo with MLE and Marion with 3m, use non-bird/bird to re sign Wright, Morrow, Beaubois and add with vet min ONeal, Brand, Jamsion, Redd, James

Howard, Wright, ONeal
Dirk, #44_Murphy, Brand
Marion, Crowder, Jamison
Mayo, Morrow, Redd
Paul, Beaubois, James

Hope we will see Marion ETO and agree to sign back.

I am confident! We will see Howard/Paul or Howard/Rondo joining Dallas. Both good fits for Mayo to stay as a good shooter beside.

Is Rondo even on the table? seems like boston could rebuild with a guy like that. Doubt Dallas has the pieces or cap space to get him anyway

100% wishful thinking... I just don't see how we can swing that, unless there's a fourth team in the mix (we're rumored to be part of the Celts-Nets swap), or possibly a sign and trade involving Mayo, Collison, Brand or Kaman.

He's absolutely being shopped and he isn't a great guy to build around. He's an Iverson-type that is extremely competitive both on and off the court. He's gotten into it with his coach, Ray Allen and at least 4-5 others. If he's prickly now, I can't imagine what he'd be like if they told him that they'd be tanking for two years while they rebuilt.
