Exactly. The mavs have failed Luka in his career this far. They should be ashamed and if I’m Luka, I’m giving this failed experiment one more season then I’m wanting out.

A talent like his can’t be wasted surrounded by a bunch of glorified role players.

So how does this plummet Luka’s stock like you said in the original post? And how is making it to the Western Conference Finals failing? This team far surpassed expectations for this season.

It doesn't. It was a moronic comment. Like I said in a previous post, we will look back in a few years when this roster of replacement level players are out the league and wonder how in the fuck did Luka lead this cast of characters to the conference finals.

His defense was a nice surprise but the offense is middle school and it barely functioned in the regular season and we’re exposed hardcore in the playoffs

I guess you can blame me since I said I would give up being swept by GS as long as we beat Phx.

And matching up better doesn't mean you're more talented. GS is far more talented than Phx or Utah. That's the difference.

I just feel like everything was expended on the first two series. You can just kinda feel it. I personally just am not into this like I was the first two. Can't really explain why, either.

I think its just coaching at this point. Need to solve their double team on Luka at thr top. I thought Luka would handle it better because of his dribbling. Mavs are scared. No swagger at all. Men showed who the boys are in this series.

Dude its about talent. We are playing 3 future hall of famers plus a high quality Wiggins. Other than Luka there is no other player on this team that can sniff an all star game let alone the HOF

Yes. Its about talent as well. However, its not all about talent. Need to put players in a position to win. Whether its motivational or strategic.

Bullock and Maxi were non factors. If Bullock is not useful defensively and he can’t hit threes, he’s basically dead weight. Powell and DFS were also non factors. Then again, all of this is a bonus after the 1st round. These are still valuable games from an experience standpoint. I hope the Mavs are observing and the coaches and players realize what they need to do next year.

Our bigs are just straight trash. Kleber, Bull, and DFS are so streaky. Our 2020 draft really did screw us over badly.

BTW LUka's #'s are going to look awesome but if we are unbiased dude does need to work his defense

He got absolutely destroyed this series on the defensive end of the floor.

It seems like everyone blew by him in less than 3 seconds of man defense

Needing to rely on Luka for defense when your team is stock full of 3 and D players is ridiculous.

Maybe after we lose the series we'll discuss how he needs to pass it more too...yikes.

Luka is great but let's be real he does need to get better defensively.

Sure you can blame the other players but Luka has to be held accountable by being able to hold up for at least 4-5 seconds in man to man defense.

When you get blown by on every defensive possession within 2 seconds that hurts your team defense as a whole.

His defense is actually decent. Wasn't great this series, but it's more than acceptable overall. Coming into shape and making fts is fair criticism.

Again, the entire design of this team was surrounding him with defenders. His usually decent D wouldn't have changed the series.

Guys that didn't show made sure this wasn't a series.

Yea, Luka has played really bad defense. Game2 first half was solid but everything before and after has been a big reason why Wiggins looks like a superstar. Luka isn't moving his feet well, getting beat off the 1v1 dribble and getting blown by on close-outs if he even does close out.

JB still keeps falling asleep defensively. He gave up a cpl O-rebs and open 3s just by not paying attention to his own man. This keeps happening. Those 2 guys had to be a lot better defensively in order to win this series.

Bullock and DFS are what they are. Solid defenders that can knock down wide open 3s and really nothing else. No ball skills.

And it's silly fans going off that the AAC wasn't lout enough. Of course not. No MFFL can afford 800 avg a ticket. That's just stupid money. So of course the Arena is full of highland park/uptown people that have never been to a game before.

Cuban has himself to blame for that. The way those tickets were sold was absolutely stupid.
